Nice albeit a little clunky
My previous steamer is tiny and portable, but has only 1 steam setting. When I saw this steamer, I was pretty excited. I like that it has an iron built in because I have an iron, but I love multifunctional tools. I also like that the water tank is removable! My current steamer refills with the plug attached and while I’ve never had any issues, it’s not the best way to do things. It heats up quickly, steams efficiently, and can be left standing up, which is great for the cooldown. It feels gentle enough, even on my silk items, but gets out all of the wrinkles pretty efficiently.. It is a little more difficult to hold, but that’s just because I am accustomed to my smaller steamer. It seems really durable although I am careful not to bang it into things. I like using this to sanitise my clothing too. Overall, this works pretty well and I am happy to have this for years to come.

Love The Steam
I’m a big fan of Chi hair products and will admit I chuckled when I saw what looked like a hair straightener, but for clothes. It’s honestly better than expected and does A LOT of heavy lifting for our clothes. And is saving us from hefty dry cleaning bills too – both my husband and I refuse to iron press our clothes with the traditional set up. We don’t have the space for it, the time or the patience for it. We both actually like and use this steamer, and it does great work on a LOT of different fabrics, needs, and can be used without steam. We’ve been using this regularly to revamp and refresh stored clothes, freshen up some occasion wear between full washes or dry cleaning, and I even used it to steam press a decorative patch on my canvas library bag. All very rad.I love that it can be used as a steamer with or without the ceramic ironing paddles. For a basic, quick refresh on something like a linen dress or slightly wrinkled top or blouse, I can just steam out the wrinkles without needing the clamps, like any other garment steamer but with way more control over moisture output. The long cord allows for a lot of movement around the garment itself, which saves time and my near-gone patience for fussy clothes. For curled up hems or collars on Fall and Winter clothes we have just brought out of storage, I can use the steam + iron function, don’t need an ironing board, and can just hang the clothing item from an over the door hook. It’s small space friendly and I love that. The only feature I don’t love or think works as well as I thought it would is the non-steam iron function – I just don’t think the ceramic plates cover enough yardage on their own and it seems like the steam functions do the heavy lifting in terms of overall performance. Without the steam, the ceramic clamp plates do just feel like using a hair straightener, and I don’t care for how hard I feel I need to press together for a fully ironed, neat outcome, but this function does admittedly work best for denim jackets and jeans, so I reserve the non-steam for heavy duty fabrics that just need a boost in reshaping after a long Summer of being boxed up and in folds. As far as the device itself? The size is a lot bigger than expected and pretty weighty, so I wouldn’t consider this super travel-friendly for the normal weekend getaway, but would absolutely pack it for a wedding weekend, if that makes sense? I feel like it’s reliable enough and doesn’t over saturate clothes, so I would absolutely feel way more comfortable using this on, say, a wedding guest dress vs. anything hotel provided. The cord length is awesome, the water tank lasts for either 2-3 full garment steams or ~40 minute session of full on steaming without needing to be refilled (and I love that the whole tank pops out and away from the main device for refilling, so there’s no anxiety over getting an electronic zapped with water damage). For under $100, it’s a handy thing that we’re getting a lot of use out of for quick jobs and it hasn’t let us down yet, so I’d say this is a lot more affordable than relying on the dry cleaners.

Excellent Results with Dual-Sided Steamer
I’m very pleased with this steamer, especially that it can steam the fronts and backs of clothes at the same time. It’s difficult to get a great result with a traditional steamer with the clothes dangling from a hanger, but this one does a decent job. I have found that the dual sided function is unique and timesaving. It does a very nice job of creasing pant legs and shirt sleeves, and also creates crisp collars and cuffs. It has a long cord, a large water tank for longer steaming times, and it heats up quickly. The steamer might get heavy for some people who are doing more than one or two garments, but most would not be using it for a lot of clothes at one time.

Works well. Eliminates wrinkles. Long cord. Quick heat up. Rather large.
This CHI SteamPress 3-in-1 Handheld Garment Steamer is a rather interesting product. I have a shophouse that I do not keep an iron and ironing board at. This is what I use instead. The steamer saves on space of storing an ironing board and iron. I wasn’t sure how well it would work, but it ended up doing a nice job.It is easy to use. The cord is very, very long! 10 feet! That longer cord has been very handy. The water container comes on and off easily and isn’t an issue to fill or with leaking. I have yet to need a refill while doing one set of clothing. The steamer is rather large and can get heavy with extended use. This size does makes it more difficult to store or pack on trips. The steam heats up rather quickly. The box says around 30 seconds, but I feel as if it doesn’t even take that amount of time. I can hold my garments up on hangers and give them a good steaming. This takes out most of the wrinkles. It does leave water spots if I do not keep the steamer moving or if I have a stubborn wrinkle that I spend extended time on. The do dry out fine, but can extend the time before I put the shirt on.I did not think I would use the clamping steam feature with this, but I do and I like how well it works. It isn’t something I can use for the whole shirt, but the areas it can be used on do a fantastic job of eliminating wrinkles. After researching other steamers, I would say this one is on par with what I would expect it to cost. I don’t think I would want this solely for doing all my clothes, but for quick jobs or to have in a place with no ironing board it is more than sufficient.

This item was a present, but I was impressed by the quality of this gadget and our family member that received it says she is really pleased with it.
