The best thermostat for looks and functionality—Siri and HomeKit for the win!
Love the ecobee! I recently upgraded to a zoned HVAC system and wanted smart thermostats for all of the zones as they have a lot of hot and cold spots. The remote sensors are super great to monitor the temp and humidity throughout the house. Being able to use Siri to control my thermostats from anywhere in the world is awesome. The ease of use is superb and their app is decent.

Works Great – Easy Install
Love it. Works as advertised. Its in a second home that’s 1000 miles away and its been 100% reliable – via the app I can always see the temperature and what equipment is running. I’ve purchased additional remote temperature sensors and they just work – no issues with anything.Installation was easy.I’ve got Honeywell T10’s in my other house, and I’m thinking about replacing them…

Works great
Perfect for us. Installed 4 in our house. It was super easy. It alerted me to a wire in the wrong spot on the first one. Connection to the internet was a snap. We had a Honeywell in our last house and it did not have a heat/cool function and this has a setting. Also comes with a wall plate.

It works great.
I got this to replace a nest thermostat that went out. This works great and I like the sensor. I have one room that stays warmer than the rest of the house. I put the sensor in that room and the temperature is much better, your unit will run longer but the room will be cooler or warmer in the winter.

Great but quality control needs improvement
One of the sensors did not register immediately out of the box

This one needs the c wire to work
I like the size and what it says it does unfortunately this one needs the c wire to work or if your unit has at least 3 wires or more than it may work, so not sure yet till I get the correct one so only 4 stars

I understand that this company has been around for a long time, and from the reviews I have read I expected a great experience, however it has been anything but that. Besides the fact that it inexplicably has two home screens (!) where you can do some things on one but not the other, possibly the most glaring defect is that you are supposed to be able to use a combination of sensors. So you can setup these things called “comfort settings” where you can specify which sensors to use as the target. eg. To cool/heat according to the temp upstairs/downstairs/wherever. The major defect is that the system completely ignores all of this and just uses the average temp of both sensors. So for example, when I try to set the system to cool the lower floor only, it just keeps the cooling running because it insists on trying to cool both floors, so the lower floor becomes freezing, way below the desired temp, because it’s trying to cool the top floor also. Even worse, I have zones, so the air isn’t even reaching the top floor. For a supposedly mature system, this is a complete joke. I think the software/firmware is still in beta. Unless the helpdesk can sort this out, I’ll be sending this back and installing a Nest instead, and I would recommend you do the same. There are a number of other little defects, but this is the biggest one by far.
