Works well and set up was easy.
The setup was easy and it dims the light. I wish it was a bit more full range but I wasn’t expecting it to work perfectly over the full range. It is effective from 25% and up. It gets a flicker below that. But with dimmers performance will vary by light bulb. But in the range it works, I get the light levels that I want. Before I bought this, I have a plug in dimmer two sided taped to my night stand. I like this solution better.

Home Assistant Matter device with Power Monitoring
TL/DR: Home Assistant Matter compatible, low price, DOES monitor current/power. Only limitation is that it is “only” rated for 10 Amps, not 15.I am expanding the entities incorporated into my blooming Smart Home, and as a typical Home Assistant user and electronics/ networking/ computer enthusiast, I’m always looking for a bargain. There are lots of smart plugs available on Amazon, and many of them don’t have good specs listed in the description. I took a chance on these Eightree plugs based on the Matter advertisement. I am pleased to find them easy to add to my Home Assistant server, and put together a quick automation to keep my closets ventilated using some small fans. Each fan runs for an hour, three times daily, staggered so that only one is running at a time. The only issue I have had – and let’s be clear, I only got these today, so not a lot of experience with them – is that when adding them to HA, the naming option went away after the first two. TBH, I think I did something, clicking back before it was ready, and causing it to default to the ‘Smart Plug’ name it was programmed with.So anyway, these are the cheapest Matter smart plugs I’ve seen, and since they DO monitor power, I’ll order more of them! Highly recommend!

Works will with Apple and Hubitat
This was my first experience with a “Matter” plug- and it was great. It was easy to figure out how to pair with my Hubitat hub, and also to pair directly with my Apple Home Kit bridge (a Home Pod) and I can now control the lights I plugged into these with both my Google Home devices and my Siri devices.

cheap price = poor performance
I bought two 2-packs of these. The price was great and the ratings seemed strong. The first two did not connect with their own app on the first try and then refused to cooperate at all. So I opened the second ox and I got one of the dimmers to connect to Smart Life – but it would not connect with Alexa, so it was useless for voice control. Maybe if I spend a few more hours working on it — but the whole idea behind smart devices is convenience, right? “Ya get what ya pay for!PS, I also discovered that my Smart Life app demanded a new sign in. As part of that, I had to relinquish a lot of privacy concerns in order to get the app running again. . Reluctantly, I did so – only to find that Smart Life had deleted all of the devices it controlled. Cant find them anywhere! Google showed me that there are a lot of frustrated Smart Life users. I;m going to convert to another brand, one at a time.

QR code is on the plug.
Only been about a week but seems to be working fine. The little booklet suggested scanning QR code and next to that suggestion was a QR code which didn’t work at all. After reading it again and a little closer, the QR code is on the actual plug and all was good sync with Alexa with no issue so far. Would probably buy it again.

Doesnβt work for LED bulb
*****Update*****So, the seller contacted me and wanted to fix my bad experience with this product. They sent me another outlet plug and I tested this set and they both work. I will change my review to 5 stars now. Thank you Eightree for great customer service. I wish every seller was as attentive to customer satisfaction as you are. Now I can conveniently dim the LES bulb without seeing it flicker! This product did not do at all what it was supposed to do with an LED bulb. It doesnβt dim at all now. At first, when I set up the outlet, it would try to dim but it flickered on all brightness levels.I reset and tried it again and now it doesnβt dim at all. This is why I say it does not do what itβs supposed to do.

I been hunting for true energy monitoring smart plugs. Trying to gauge how much our appliances use up because we have a lot of things plugged in, and this is the best ones yet. They can be set up using Tuya and the manufacturer enabled the sensor for energy saving after I have contacted them about the feature, so it will accurately (within 3W of power) calculate energy usage, statistics, average daily/weekly/monthly use and give you a breakdown by plug. These are seriously bang for your buck, top notch, no need to look elsewhere!

I love that they connect so easily to HomeKit and you do not need a separate app for them. I have never had an issue with these disconnecting or failing to trigger. Snappy response, and gives me a piece of mind with devices that get hot. Iβve also been able to program my manual dial humidifier to turn on when my humidity levels are low.
