Feature-Packed Smart Door Knob That Feels Solid — Full Test Coming After Install
SOLID– Multiple unlock options: fingerprint, keypad, app, key tag, and physical key– Comes with everything needed for a standard door install– Build quality feels decent out of the box– Key tags are a nice bonus that my first lock didn’t include– Perfect for bedroom or rental-room access where flexibility mattersSUSPECT– Haven’t tested fingerprint accuracy or keypad reliability yet– App performance still unknown– No idea how loud the motor is during unlock– Will have to see how well it handles daily tenant use– Smart locks always depend heavily on long-term battery lifeEXPERIENCEThis is the second smart doorknob I’ve ordered, and I initially thought it was the same as the first one — but this version includes key tags, which is actually a pretty slick addition. For rental bedrooms, having multiple unlock methods is a big plus. If the fingerprint reader misbehaves, they can use a code. If the app acts up, they’ve got the key tag. And worst case, there’s a physical key.Build quality feels solid enough, and everything needed for installation is in the box. I’m not ready to install yet, but once I redo the interior doors in the rental, these knobs are going in. If the fingerprint reader is consistent and the keypad responds reliably, this will make room access way easier and cleaner than handing out spare keys that tenants inevitably lose.Functionality still needs a real-world test, but the feature set is promising. I’ll update after install day to see how well it actually performs.VERDICTPreliminary Solid Buy.
