UPDATE: Amazon sent a eplacement and it works just fine, so far. Problem with our old one turned out to be the remotes battery. It also worked once I replaced the battery. Sending back the old one anyway. It was louder than the new one. Neither one is really loud but you can hear them working at times when close to the unit. I chose the quiter one. Changed the raeting to 5 stars because it is working and sends out a good smell, and looks great. Only one isse and it is a small one. It tends to send the mist with smell out to one side and not all around even. Goes out slighly to the right. Jsut the way its made I guess. Still gets 5 stars.Bought one of these last week. It took 5 days to ship and was a day late on top of that.I have a replacement on the way already. This first ones remote control will not turn the unit off.It will not set the timer either. I have to manually turn it off or set the timer. The remote will change the mister colors and fire place colors. It turns the mister on and off. It just wont turn the entire unit off. I thought it would turn itself off if it ran out of water in the tank. It does not. It came with a little QC tag signed , I call it bad QC.The remote failure makes me give it 1 star and I’d go less if I could due to the safety issue of not turning off when the tank is empty.The unit looks very nice and puts out a good smell covering a large room. I like the look when it is on. Shame it has these issues. I’ll report back in a few days when I get the new replacement unit. At this point I have very little hope of this diffuser working 100% correctly.

Appealing
Works exactly as described. Only used with water so far. Its a small unit so health benefits as a Humidifier are likely slim. But, its visually appealing and easy to operate. Same functions are operable on the unit as whats on remote. Makes as a nice gift.

Look under the lid with the slit for the cord/remote!
There are no instructions to tell you where the cord/remote is, so I couldn’t find them. I could not open the lid, no matter how hard I tried, and did not want to break it. I had my son come over and take a look at it, and he took the lid off – no problem. And inside, under the lid with the slit, is the cord/remote.So I instantly plugged it in to see how it works, and so far it is beautiful. I received for Christmas a 2′ x 3′ indoor lit up camper (we like to camp), so when I get a brick to plug it into (I need the current brick for my work phone), I plan to place this next to the camper. I think it will look amazing there.So far so good – after locating the products! It needs to be stated where to find these! Then it seems to be great so far!

Perfect For A Stressed Out Student!
So, this is how my diffuser looked when I bought it nearly two months ago. I work full-time and I’m a full-time student, so I like to destress when I’m home. What better way to do this than a fireplace diffuser blessing me with the scent of my lavender vanilla essential oil? I run my diffuser for a few hours every day while I work on my schoolwork.I couldn’t hear it running at all, the tank lasts a few hours, and it doesn’t leave the area around it wet from condensation. It’s also easy to clean. The user manual walks you through how to clean it properly. Make sure you do this often, so the oil residue doesn’t build up!It’s got a gentle glow, so it’s not blinding or distracting. The light is so gentle, you could even use it as a nightlight.In my opinion it’s a perfect size for what I was looking for. It fits on my desk perfectly! I’m measurement impaired, so for size comparison, I’d say it’s about the size of a 20 oz coffee tumbler laid on its side,I love that you can change the colors on not only the fire, but the steam as well. You can have them the same color or different colors if you like. You can also use it as a night light where it’s still lit, but the fire isn’t going and neither is the steam. You can also have the fire going, but no steam as well. So, you can customize it just the way you like it! Personally, I enjoy the traditional fireplace look. It’s beautiful! The other colors are just as pretty, I just like the classics!I also enjoy that it has a timer for 1, 2, or 3 hours. I use that function when I want to relax to fall asleep, but not leave it running all night long. If you do happen to fall asleep, but forgot to set a timer, no worries! It will automatically shut off once it runs out of water.The remote works well. You can turn it on/off, change the colors of the steam/fire, turn the steam/fire on/off, and set the timer with the remote.It worked wonderfully at first. However, it hasn’t even been two months yet and now the steam barely comes out of it anymore. I can no longer smell my essential oils. Everything else works, but that. I’ve cleaned it as instructed, and followed the troubleshooting directions, but unfortunately it still isn’t working properly.I’m hoping it’s just a fluke, so I’ve ordered a new one just because of how much I loved it until it quit working properly. If the new one I ordered works properly for a longer time period, I will update my review. Had this not happened, I would have definitely given it 5 stars instead of 3.EDIT:They have offered me a full refund for the diffuser that quit working! I really appreciate it, because I thought I was just out of luck since there was only a 30-day warranty on it. So far my new one is still going strong! I’m hoping this one lasts! I love it so much!
