Great lamp don’t expect a lot of bass..
I have a bunch of Govee lights and a couple of the JBL speakers. I really like the portable JBL speakers I’ve bought, very rich and deep bass.Now with that said I think after you go past 70% on volume on this lamp, the bass kind of drops off and kind of gets distorted. I was a little bit shocked at that. But don’t get me wrong at 70% volume it’s still pretty loud and good.The light show when syncing with your music is very nice and soothing. Just like my other lights from Govee, I like that you can control it with voice.One thing I wish is that since this is portable/rechargeable, I wish it was also rated for outside use. I’m sure you can use it outside just don’t get it wet or sit in the sun. Got this on release day with a discount, so not too bad.

Extremely Stressful
It worked amazingly at first for about 1 to 2 weeks. Then it started randomly dimming to 1% and the sound effect turning down to 1%. When I’d try to turn it up in brightness, it would immediately only seconds later fall back down to 1%. I gave up on it but then I wanted to try using it again after about 2-3 weeks. For the first few hours it worked great but then it started changing colors and sound effects on it’s own without me even having the app open. What was a fun little light turned into an extremely annoying and major headache. Now I just think it’s easier to stop using the light completely. It’s possible that someone else could be controlling the lamp somehow via bluetooth or wifi but I have no idea how someone else could have gotten access to it. It’s been a huge headache. I can’t see if someone else has access to controlling it.

Great Concept, but Sync Issues Make It Frustrating
I generally love all Govee products, but this one not so much. The lights themselves are very nice, but I bought two specifically to pair them, and that’s where all the problems start. They don’t sync well together. One is usually significantly brighter than the other, or they’re completely out of sync. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts just to get them to turn on at the same time. Pairing the speakers in stereo mode is also more of a process than it should be.The lamps are rechargeable, but the battery only lasts around three hours, which isn’t great if you want them running for an evening. They are highly customizable in the Govee app and come with a lot of preset scenes, so the features are there, but the execution needs work.Overall, nice idea but too many bugs for the current price. I think around $80 would be a more realistic cost for what these offer.

Pairing two together for stereo sound and synced lights is next-level. For gamers who want both vibe and function, this lamp nails it.

It’s a cool lamp. The speaker is very clear but not overly loud. It’s what you would expect a high quality mid sized Bluetooth speaker to sound like. I live in a small space and it is more than enough. It has more scene effects than the last lamp, and it’s almost twice the size. I gave it 4 stars as I don’t like the touch buttons – you have to touch them just the right way and it’s annoying. Tactile buttons would have been a lot better. That being said I rarely use the buttons anyways so meh.
