Perfect fit for our Ecobee!
We purchased a used Ecobee thermostat and didn’t get the wall plate with our purchase. I checked out the reviews on Amazon, and this one fit the bill. Please note that it doesn’t state which way is UP, but the Ecobee only fits in one direction.

Good product, but don’t waste your money
Bought two of these covers. Very big and bulky on the wall. The original comes with a thermostat is more than enough. Also, if your previous thermostat was installed on top of an electrical in-wall 2×4 box, be ready to find the solution for the lower screw – this plate doesn’t fit.

just had it professionally installed ( he had to call ecobee support number and had it all figured out within a few minutes ) My local power company offers a rebate for anything energy saving so its very much worth the money.

Quality Product
This wall plate is much higher quality than the wall plate that comes with the Ecobee4. The foot print on the wall is larger than a residential wall plate should be in my opinion, but otherwise, I’m happy with the purchase.

It’s as advertised. Just make sure you need it first
I got this thinking the thermostat didn’t come with the backplate as it wasn’t mentioned. However it does and therefore this really wasn’t needed in my scenario. I guess if you bought a used one or for some reason broke the original backplate this would be good. Just not for a new thermostat purchase.

Not plug and play. Drilling required and no included longer screws
Base unit doesn’t fit flush with the base and I had to drill out holes to remount original thru new base to secure to wall. I’m fine with it for covering the area but I can see this would not be a snap in application or easy for someone that doesn’t have drill bits or plastic anchor which this didn’t come with

It fit perfectly. My thermostat was a ecobee pro with voice control, but had the same foot pattern as the ecobee 4. It fit perfect. Well constructed, good and sturdy. The only thing that I would change is make it a little thinner. Delivery time could be a little faster since you have to pay for delivery.
