Why can’t every printer be this good and this easy to use?
Replaced my Brother HL-L5200DW with this. Depending on the month I can print 500-2,000 pages. While it worked well for over a year I was never thrilled with the overall print quality – more of a dark grey than black. But then it started jamming – a lot. I watched videos, cleaned in places i never thought of – but it was jamming probably 8 / 10 pages.So far I am thrilled with this, true / crisp / clear black and white prints. I have not done a lot of printing yet probably only 400 pages or so but no issues.In addition, and I am not techie enough to know why, but it was basically plug and print. No stress / time you had to waste just surprisingly easy to set up.In today’s day and age – I feel this printer is a great value for money. It is a work from home workhorse.

Ok now! Update: Downloaded a recent firmware update from HP, and everything is now working well@
The scanner works fine, but the printer does not work at all. This printer is less than a month old. It printed approximately 10 pages and now it gives errors that there is a paper jam. I followed all the instructions but cannot see any paper jam. I can’t return the printer because I discarded the packing material and box when I first set it up and saw that it printed OK, and then it quit. I have always been happy with HP printers in the past (inkjet), and this is my first laser jet. I do not recommend it!

Good black and white printer/scanner/copier
The printer is fast and works well. I did not register it or sign up for subscription toner replacement after reading the negative reviews. I have the printer connected via network cables to my wifi router. We have printed seamlessly from our macbooks, mac mini, ipad, Window 11 laptop, and Samsung phones over wifi. So far I have not purchased or needed to replace the HP 134a toner cartridge. All of our devices connected to our home wifi detect and print to this printer. I have also made black and white copies and have initiated document scans from our computers over my home wifi without any issues. As others have noted scanning and copying are single sided, but printing can be set to either duplex or single sided printing.

Spend the money for a better unit
Why did you pick this product vs others?:As far as printing, scanning, copying, it’s a decent printer for the money. The WIFI setup is cumbersome, and really buggy. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts across your smart phone and computer before it finally syncs for good with your WIFI signal. I would recommend hard wiring it via USB or ethernet to make it easier on you.
