Really Impressive!
I must admit that I wasn’t expecting too much quality from this little device. It seemed too small, too multi-purpose and too ambitious. I was very, very wrong. This little scanner is pretty amazing. It comes with an impressive suite of software that includes OCR scanning, business card scanning, and a PDF editing platform that rivals the big name in that space. Also, the “Button Manager” interface literally reduces scanning modes to single button pushes. At the click of a button, it can scan to PDF, JPG or Word. And, the Word scanning is beyond expectations. All text becomes editable, but remains in the font type found in the original and all non-text items are also maintained but converted to images in MSWord. Set up is a bit intense. I’m very tech-savvy and it took me some decent concentration. For the less tech- comfortable, just follow the instructions and online prompts carefully and closely and you’ll be fine. Lastly, the depth of customization is incredible. When/If you drill down into the nitty gritty of the controller software, you can customize nearly every setting. Very impressive little device; it far exceeded my expectations. (The attached image is a to-JPG scan of one of the product insert sheets).

Great portable scanner with some issues
Truly portable scanner, I suspect half of its size and most of its weight are due to the rechargeable battery.Notably, for those not aware (like me), IRIS brand is a part of Canon Group.I would say it does have some issues:There is no true manual included and the links in the Getting Started book differ from each other while those on the sticker on the device are somewhat hard to read and easy to miss for people used to immediately trashing protective plastic.There is no case/pouch, something you expect to see with portable devices these days.There is no power adapter, just a USB C cable.Considering all the moving parts and overall fragility of the mechanism and glass, a transportation insert as well as a cleaning cloth would not be amiss.There is no mention of Letter/Legal source sizing on the feed slot, so feeding American sized documents straight could be an issue.Something that seems to be common among all portable scanners and printers I have seen so far is apparent absence of capability to connect to phones and tablets using a cable, which means to use the scanner you need to disconnect from Wi-Fi internet (not sure about using them while using mobile internet connection).Overall I still can recommend this product.

NOT PC Friendly – Not Recommend
It took about an hour to dig up all of the necessary information, locate driver/manual, OCR program, red tape registration process (NOT mandatory, HOWEVER, it certainly does expedite the entire arduous process,) before I could install and initialize the scanner.THE SCANNER BATTERY MUST BE CHARGED prior to installation and initialization. The driver installation and subsequent setup process MUST BE DONE USING USB.I never successfully acquired the scanner on either WIFI or BLUETOOTH on my PC. It listed as an UNKNOWN DEVICE and ALWAYS listed driver failure as the reason.It did work well with my phone. However, I prefer NOT to utilize my phone for everything that requires WIFI, BLUETOOTH, or Internet. I certainly do not prefer to use my phone for my business IT needs.

Compact and convenient
I recently added a this portable color scanner to my tech toolkit, and it’s been great for managing documents on the go. This portable scanner is impressively fast, delivering clear scans at up to 15 pages per minute, and the fact that it’s battery-powered means I can use it anywhere. The WiFi connectivity is a neat feature, although it’s limited to point-to-point connections. While I do wish it came with an AC adapter, the USB power option works well enough. The versatility in scanning to various formats like Word and PDF, as well as the ability to handle business cards and receipts, makes it a powerful tool for anyone looking to stay organized without being tied to an office. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those needing a reliable, portable scanning solution.
