Great ambiance
One of my favorite decor additions!

Great light effects with lots of filters options.
This light is easy to use and worked great during the daytime in a hallway simulating being underwater woth the blue filter.

Very pretty light effects
I had never tried this type of mood lighting before and I was very curious to see it. In a dark room, the effects are impressive! It is relaxing to recline and watch the pattern of the lights on the ceiling. I don’t feel like I’m looking at water waves. Rather, it reminds me of the pattern of light reflected from a swimming pool onto a surface. It’s fun experimenting with the different color discs and they are easy to change. I do agree with another reviewer who felt there is too much amber light in the pattern. Even with the blue disc, the amber remains prominent. In my opinion, this detracts from the water-like effect. However, when I let go of my desire to see it as water and appreciate it for what it is, it’s very pretty. In addition to removing the amber LEDs, my other suggestion for the manufacturer would be to make a longer power cord and/or include a remote.

Better than expected
This projector light was better than I expected. I was expecting the light to project to just a small area of the wall or ceiling. I was pleasantly surprised when I plugged this in and it went across the ceiling and walls of a 10 x 16 room. The lights are a nice shimmering amber and blue. It is very calming and relaxing. Very impressive.

Exactly what I wanted – until static fried it
I loved this lamp’s sturdy metal base, use of film for the color, and no remote that would get lost. It’s not too loud, the motor sound is even sort of pleasant. I bought it for a party but it was so pleasant that I used it every night. However, just a few days after it arrived a static shock instantly broke the light and motor. I opened it up and found that there is nothing to protect the delicate parts from being fried from a static electric shock. Very disappointing :(I like it enough to consider buying another and modifying it to be shock-proof before I fry another one. So, buyer beware: if your house is full of static electricity this is probably not the lamp for you.

Water Ripple Effect
Nearly perfect for what it is! This little lamp arrived quickly and the price is fair. The base is powder coated metal and sturdy. It’s got a cord decent in length and an on/off switch on the cord itself. There are little colored round plastic films you can add to the lamp and then the light spins to give the ocean ripple effect. It’s not changing LED lighting. It was fun to check out the various colors with my son and you may be surprised by how the color film projects! There is one half red half blue film and I found it to look pretty but different than I thought it would. This lamp spins at one speed and there is no way to change it or stop it. On or off, one speed and the color film you choose. That’s it. We have the green film in for this photo and video. It is brighter/whiter on camera than to the naked eye. It’s got a blue green hue and amber tone – that same amber you’ll see with all the film colors. There are pricier items on Amazon but there are also cheaper ones. But I do think that while this lacks a remote, color changing, Bluetooth etc, it is a solid quality and materials little lamp. My son loves it and because of that, I’m happy. There’s a big downfall to me and it’s that the rounded glove is super bright and hard on the eyes. I’ll be turning this off when I go to sleep but even for my little boy who is sleeping beside me I had to put the lamp on the floor or you’ll be hit by the brightness of the lamp itself. This is more for a room ambience than an all night light strictly bc of that super bright lamp top. I prefer to sleep in total darkness but I could handle the ceiling ripple but def not the lamp globe. I’m ok with it not having a remote but a timer would be nice then instead. Lastly, it’s a water ripple effect, not an auroral borealis look.I think I’m going to buy another product with remote and darker lamp lights, northern lights style for bedroom and move this one to our open concept living area. I’ll keep this one on through the night for a pretty lighting but also nightlight and for that purpose it’s going to be perfect. But as a bedroom nighttime lighting, it’s just too bright. That’s only my opinion of course but I believe that will be a better fit for our household! One more thing, I thought blue or green would be ideal for nighttime but the lighting is cold and bright so actually the reds, yellows, oranges etc are more warm and soothing for nighttime. Hope this helps someone trying to decide!

Bright and creates nice ripples on walls
I was pleasantly surprised by the effects produced by this light. It is bright, and although a bit of a pain to change the color filters, there are some pretty cool effect that can be gotten through use of ‘old tech’. This light provides amble brightness with it’s LED bulbs to easily light up a wall in a darkened room. To me, the effects are almost Northern Light like. The case is metal, the lenses are clear plastic. With a bit of care, I expect it to last a good while. To change the color, you need to unscrew the plastic lens and place the color filter on top of the rotating plastic disk. Again, low tech, but it works without issue. Just be careful not to drop the lens as you handle it.Power is suppled by a USB cable, and the provided adaptor (Hurray!). Power is controlled by an off/off switch on the cord. It’s easy to set up, and I can make it ‘Smart’ by plugging it into a Bluetooth controlled plug.Overall, I really like this, and recommend!

I don’t know if I like it…
I mean… okay! It’s a super cute idea, but it is SO ungodly bright and there are no dimming effects which I thought there was because I was led to believe it came with a remote. I think the biggest design flaw is the fact that you have to manually change the color using this little plastic paper that sticks to EVERYTHING (God, I’m so serious) but the light. This makes it really hard to see the colors properly because once the plastic paper is on the wave disk it slides around and sometimes gets stuck in the big gap between the wiring and the disk. Just not a very functional design of the creators part.
