100% buying again
Such a great product for the price, it requires WiFi to use but I have never had issues with it failing or not connecting to the network. The set up process is super easy. Personally I also got an additional wall mount similar to a command hook; plugged in the camera, downloaded the app and it basically set its self up from there. Now when I leave the hosue all I have to do is press on from my phone and it has the option to record continuously, by movement, location, lights or sound. I use the movement program as my animals are crated and it gives me peace of mind that my babies are safe, no one’s breaking in and that I didn’t forget to blow out that one candle. For $40 even I would buy this again just for its quality and all of the other options like lights, switches. Locks, plugs that can all be controlled by the app. This cameras photo quality is also really great! It also provides a night time vision (though is black and white) it is very clear and I keep this on at night time as well! Oh the app cost like 3 a month or $30 a year for the record and save capabilities

Worth The Value.
I got this to keep an eye on my Bambu Lab 3d Printer since the camera on my printer is more of a frame by frame/ time lapse camera. It resembles the Tapo camera but less expensive and works better. It was easy to setup and easy to use. Offers many features. Camera quality is really good. Motion detection is on point. It should be durable.

Had it over 2 years
I’ve had this camera for 2 years and it’s worked mostly great! I’ve had some issues with it not giving me a motion notification so I usually just turn it off and back on in the app and it’s fine BUT I think that is an issue with my WIFI and Not the camera. I’ve used it mainly as security camera to see who’s going in my room when I’m not home it’s worked great for that, the night vision is usually good the first time I set up the cam night vision was great then I got a new WiFi box or something and after re setting it back up the night vision doesn’t really work as good but I believe it has something to do with the position or lighting, no a big deal for me really. Overall it’s a good camera the motion and person detection work well and the recording picture is clear and I believe you can adjust it more in the settings. Also the app is great I don’t recall ever having an issue, set up is pretty easy for the most part. Would recommend

NOT ONE REGRET.
Bought it for my mom. She’s not too savy with tech but it was a VERY FRIENDLY USER SET UP. I love the power cord has plenty of cable for plugging. The app works fantastic!!! Super easy to register and my most favorite is there is no subscription fees unless you’d like to unlock additional features. What the camera offers is enough. I love seeing LIVE footage, looking back at previous recordings because of how well labeled and monitorized it shows. The sound is great and also nocturnal vision doesn’t miss a thing. Definitely recommend.

Avoid Kasa cameras
It saddens me to write a negative review about any Kasa product. I’ve bought dozens of them and they are in everyday use throughout my home. In fact I can’t imagine what it would be without all of the smart plugs, switches , bulbs, etc. And their app is hands-down the best in the industry.KASA CAMERASI bought one of the first Kasa cameras several years ago and frankly I wasn’t impressed. Fast forward to today and I’m still not impressed with Kasa cameras. I truly believe that TP-LINK is over their heads trying to sell smart cameras when they clearly don’t know what they’re doing. And when it comes to cameras of any type I am a recognized expert. Yes let’s be real, how much can you expect for thirty bucks? What are they trying to prove? It’s virtually impossible to make and sell anything other than a toy at that price. I feel strongly enough about how useless this camera is my advice to Kasa is to either get in seriously or get out of the camera selling business.SPECIFICSI actually didn’t get beyond how cheap this thing looks and feels. The day I got it I attempted to add it to my system. Remember, I’ve already got about a dozen of their smart devices in use, I’m not a newcomer to adding devices. It installed in the usual way. And worked for less than a minute. Then it self-destructed. Poof, dead. I tried everything and the app won’t even recognize it’s there. Their so-called help solutions put 100% of the blame on the customer, not one word of help if the product actually fails. So I tried to open a tech support ticket. They ignored me. I waited a week and tried again. They ignored me again. That is the kiss of death for me for any product, I don’t care who they are. Customer service and tech support can take a five-star product down to a recommendation to avoid it in a heartbeat.YES OR NOI can allow for a product that is DOA, no manufacturing process is perfect. I can close my eyes to that and not blame the brand if they make a reasonable effort to make it good. But to ignore a customer? That is an immediate recommendation to avoid, not their entire product line, but their smart cameras. They should not be in the business of selling a product that they are not qualified to understand and support.

This camera is a great starting point. Cannot zoom in to see clear details at 150m away. Sometimes the recording of the video is choppy and not smooth, but better than nothing.

Works amazing, picks up and notifies my of noises, motion and people. Not sure what I’d do without it.My only wish is that the power plug wasn’t so big, awkward and ugly. Cord length is great though.

I thought I was buying from Amazon and did not realize when I found a better deal on the same page that it was a 3rd party seller.Long story short I purchased this to use as a baby monitor and realized I could not see all angles of the room, a security issue in my mind.I tried returning the camera and the seller says I am subject to a restocking fee, shipping fees to Quebec and that it is my problem I bought a product that does not work for me.To buy from this seller, you must be 100% certain you will not change your mind as these fees are meant to deter returns.
