This battery base is an absolute game-changer! The battery life is excellent—I can easily get 8–9 hours of playtime, which is perfect for outdoor use. I love setting my HomePod Mini on the patio table while relaxing or hosting friends, and it’s so freeing not to be tied to a power outlet.The cable storage is another thoughtful feature. It keeps everything neat and concealed, so my desk stays tidy when I’m using it indoors. Plus, the sleek design blends seamlessly with the HomePod Mini, and it doesn’t affect the sound quality at all. Setup was super simple—just plug in and go.If you want to make your HomePod Mini portable and enjoy it anywhere, this is definitely worth the investment. Highly recommend!

The Mission Battery Base… add portability to your HomePod Minis
Update Feb 21/22… my initial review (immediately below) remains unchanged! The Mission Base pair works perfectly, adding portability to my HomePod Minis. Recommended!***************Received the Mission Battery Base (2 x Black) a few days ago and thus far I’m very pleased with the way they’ve preformed.Some observations:1.) nicely and professionally packaged2.) right out of the box they had a solid, hefty feel to them… no flimsy, cheap plastic quality.3.) instructions were simple to follow and included on the outside of the box as well as on the instructions inside.4a.) the bottom of the Mission Battery Base is magnetic and attaches solidly without any latches or snaps.4b.) the power supply cord that is permanently attached to the HomePod mini is the perfect length to be wrapped around inside the Mission base and just long to fit into the slot on the mission base… i.e. no excess cord flopping around.4c.) AND the surface of the flat bottom base is also made out of a non-abrasive material… making it very unlikely to scratch or mark a wooden table or cabinet top!5.) Power Supply… there is a USB-C cord (60 inches) that comes with the Mission Battery Base unit that you plug one end into your wall outlet (USB-C) and the other end into the slot on the Mission Battery Base.6a.) the unit has a power on/off button that when turned on, light a series of 4 soft blue glo lights to show charge level.6b.) these 4 blue lights are very dim (to me at least) but if they seemed too bright for bedtime, the front face of the Mission Battery Base can be turned away from direct line-of-sight because the HomePods broadcast in 360° direction.7.) the HomePod minis fit snuggly into the Mission Base and would not come out even when turned upside down and shaken.8.) and maybe most important to me, the Mission Battery Base gave me the portability for my HomePod Minis that I was looking for. Now I can move them from room to room or to my outside patio and have my music/podcasts (in stereo) wherever I want.In conclusion… a wonderful asset for the HomePod minis and an almost ‘must-have’ if you love your HomePod Minis and want more versatility in your listening options.I’m surprised Apple didn’t think of something like this when they developed the HomePod Minis… seems like a ‘no brainer’ to me.5 Stars… more if I could.

How long before Apple buys these guys?!?!?
I wasn’t sure why Apple didn’t make the HomePod mini portable from the get-go?I bought the HomePod mini for my AppleTV set-up…as we all know, TV speakers are deficient. This allows me to have stereo sound for TV (and any streaming audio) next to me (my poor old ears) without blasting at too high a volume (especially late at night when she’s gone to bed and I’m still watching TV downstairs).When working in the kitchen (15′ away?), she can now move one of the speakers with her to the counter and not miss the action. Even take them out on the patio….I avoided buying a sound bar and still needing to to crank up the volume to overcome the noise in the kitchen with food prep…..She’s happy, I’m very happy. Great quality product, well constructed. The cradle in which the HomePod sits does not obscure or diminish the sound quality.I bought a longer USB C cable to get to my wall outlet. No biggie!

Seamless portability, and weight balanced to keep your Homepod Mini from falling over.
– First of all, I am blown away with how simple this product works.– As another video reviewer said, you can seamlessly take this with you and it’ll silently convert into an Airplay speaker without dropping the audio from you phone.– Weight is balanced so the speaker would stay upright sitting in a moving vehicle.– Battery life was decently surprising. Nearly an entire day of music playback from different times of day, and in different environments.– Purchased black out tape to cover the LED indicators as they were just annoying.– Leave it plugged in while using helps keep the battery topped up.Thoughts – I wish I could buy one of these for every homepod mini I have, and maybe will over time.Great product, would recommend to anyone.Bonus, you can simply attach another battery pack to the base for even longer listening pleasure. Simple USB-C.
