I removed the old thermostatAnd installed the new one in about 5 minutes. I’m not Exaggerating.If you’ve never done this before don’t worry. It’s very easy the wires are all color coded. And thermostat is labeledDon’t pay someone to do this !It’s a basic thermostat no bells and whistles just what I wanted..and it does what I needed. The only thing to remember is that the brain part of the thermostat has small prongs that plug into the base and you can bend them if your careless or heavy handed. Be careful when separating or plugging the two parts together .it arrives plugged inAnd you have to separate before install

Replaced 50+ old unit. Easy Install. Simple controls
Relatively easy to install. Replaced a 50+ unit that had different letters for the wires. Needed to buy a new set of screwdrivers to fit the small screws used to secure the wires.I don’t have a ‘C’ wire, and therefore need batteries for the display. The estimate to replace is 6 months, but it would be nice if the batteries were only needed during power outage.

Very simple to set, and it WORKS!!
Love it! Very simple to set where you want it, even my Wife could set it!! It is either on, Air Cond, Off, or Heat. Temp set, either set button, up or down, the first push just lights up the display, the ones after that set the temp up or down, one degree at a push!! You can get it right, even while half asleep!! Great!!

Easy to Install Good Thermostat
Delivered within the promised time frame. It is very easy to install, and being non-programmable, it is very easy to use. It is reasonably-priced. The only complaint I have is that the instructions for installation do not tell you how to separate the front and back parts of the thermostat. I started pulling them apart, but wondered if I would break something from the inside. I took the chance and one really just has to literally pull them apart. One side has two pointy appendages that fits right into two holes from the other side, but how was I to know that? I tried asking Rufus, Amazon’s AI, and he had no answer. When I found out how it was done, I sent Rufus the information so he knows what to tell the next person asking him the same question. I hope the company is paying attention because this is such a basic information that they should not have omitted.
