Excellent Personal Safety Item, a must have!!
I can’t tell you how happy I was that; 1. I ordered this, 2. It arrived same day and 3. I remembered to pack it. When it arrived I practiced using the door lock on my apartment door along with the door stop. It felt very secure and I got the hang of placing the lock and closing the door properly after a couple of tries. Although it comes with a small pouch I used an old tiny first aid kit bag that has a strong zipper to pack it. You will need to buy the battery for the door stop, but I forgot to do that on my first trip. The door stop will still secure a door without the battery, it just wont make the sound – again, still an added safety measure.I was traveling to an unfamiliar city and unfortunately forgot to add a night to my hotel booking after changing my flight to an earlier arrival. When I tried to add a night to my hotel reservation, it was booked. I checked neighboring hotels, everything else was booked or was $400/night where there was availability.I went with a bargain hotel a few blocks from the hotel I was to check into the next day. Definitely not the ideal location or property. These 2 safety devices allowed me to sleep! When I got to the hotel I was surprised to see it had a door for an adjoining room and everything about that door seemed very suspicious. I placed a table and single chair in front of it and used the door stop on the extra door. The main door was secured with the portable door lock. This was the best money I have spent on Amazon in a really long time! I can’t begin to express just how important these 2 items became that night.This is an easy to use and easy to pack small investment that you will be glad you added to cart. Keep it in your carry on or your personal item in a hidden pocket so you always have it with you. If your luggage gets lost, you can still feel safe. Gave me peace of mind
I used this alarm when my husband and I went out of town and stayed in a hotel. I have anxiety staying at new places so this helped. I tested the alarm at home before going to ensure it worked and it did. The alarm can be out on high or low and I did loud. The loud is definitely very loud and will not fail to wake you up. You can also change the sensitivity which I like. It gave me peace of mind while staying away from home.

Great Alarm
The wedge door stop alarm works great since I don’t think my landlord change the locks. I haven’t used the lock mechanism yet.

Door lock is great, alarm is too tall at smallest wedge end.
The door lock was easy to use and install. I would recommend that part of this package. Unfortunately in all of the hotels the alarm part was way to tall at the smaller of the wedge end. It wouldn’t fit under the door so we couldn’t use it. The alarm part of it might work under a door with a threshold but not one that is just above the floor. I do have to say that I really like the simplicity of the orange door lock part of it. We used it in every hotel we were in and when trying it was very solid. It is a cheap form of security that actually works and is easy to use.

Useless door lock. Faulty door alarm.
I implore you – don’t waste your money on this product. The doorstop is active even when the sensor is not pressed, causing it to beep constantly and essentially worthless. The door lock is cheaply made and will likely snap if someone really wanted to get in and kicked the door. Your usual hotel locks are probably stronger. I regret spending money on this.

As a solo traveler, I would want this
I bought this since I was traveling alone, but I didn’t end up needing it. I still kept it for future use. It’s a great idea and helps to make you feel safe.
