Roku Outdoor Camera: Reliable, Clear, and Smart-Home Ready
The camera itself is excellent — crystal-clear 1080p HD, solid night vision, and surprisingly wide coverage for a compact unit. Setup was easy, it paired with the Roku Smart Home app without a hiccup, and it integrates with Alexa and Google with no issues.Keep in mind that it goes with: Roku Solar Panel USB-C 2025: The Must-Have Add-On (If You’re Using a Battery Camera)

SAVE YOUR $ – DON’T BUY ROKU CAMERAS & they won’t work w/ flip phones
Won’t install with Samsung or Motorola flip phonesLoses connectivity oftenWON’T RECORD!!!DOESN’T RECOGNIZE PEOPLE, MOVING CURTAINS, MOVING LANDSCAPE OR ANYTHING WHICH MAY BE WHY IT NEVER RECORDS ANYTHINGLong answer about how this item has been:I’ve been a Roku customer for 20 years and love the service, so when I needed cameras to monitor my vendors and packages I chose Roku and used Amazon to buy/ship my cameras. I have had non-stop issues ever since. The cameras would not connect to the 2.4 GHz network I was forced to create just for them. The app didn’t work with my flip phone b/c the QR code was in the curve of the and never connected. I finally had to borrow a phone, install my Roku on their phone, to connect which is quite worrisome, then uninstall my cameras from their phone hoping they can’t simply reinstall to see my house. Once the cameras were finally connected to the network, the app kept losing connection with the cameras. Bought these in 2023.Eventually the connection got fixed, so I finally paid for subscription service only to find that the cameras don’t record. That’s the whole damn point of having cameras at my house – to record activity. So now I’m having major repairs to my pool and can’t verify the work is being completed per scope of work because the cameras don’t record b/c of a software glitch that thinks this outdoor camera is indoor so the Las Vegas summer heat is a problem for these outdoor cameras. One of the outdoor cameras is installed inside though, and it also doesn’t record for some unknown reason. It’s been weeks (now in August 2025) and they still don’t work. I’ve been trying to reach support, and am told the same thing “we’re still working on it” but they aren’t calling me back as promised and they refuse to escalate to a US support person who might actually be accountable to this problem and get it resolved. Meanwhile, they refuse to provide a credit on the subscription service that doesn’t work and never ever ever get it resolved.

BEST SECURITY CAMERA 11/10
I couldn’t be happier with the Roku Outdoor Camera for my home security needs. This IP65 weather-resistant camera has proven to be incredibly durable, standing up to various weather conditions without any issues. The 1080p HD video quality is outstanding, providing clear and detailed footage both day and night, thanks to its excellent night vision capabilities.Setting it up was a breeze, and I love that it integrates seamlessly with both Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing me to check on my home with simple voice commands. The motion and sound detection features are highly responsive and have given me great peace of mind by alerting me to any activity around my property. The included 90-day subscription was a fantastic bonus, offering plenty of time to evaluate the premium features, which I found to be extremely useful. Overall, this camera has exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their home security with a reliable and high-quality camera!Thank you Roku!!

Great camera
Had it for a couple days. So far the camera works well. Good motion detection. Clear picture unless you zoom in on something. Set up was easy to do. There is a slight delay between motion and motion capture but it’s not anything bad. The only negative thing I have to say is about the sound quality. When I’m talking to someone, it sounds very robotic. When someone is talking to me back, it cuts out a lot. But other times it seems to work ok. Not sure if that’s an issue with the camera sound or just a connection problem on my end. Otherwise this is turning out great so far. I have been using it inside to watch my dog. He isn’t alone, I just love him and now I can see him all the time.

Easy set up and clear picture!!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought the Roku Battery Camera Plus, but I’ve been really impressed. Setup was simple. The video quality is crisp and clear, even at night, and I love that I can check in on my front yard from my phone. The two-way audio will work great, I suspect, for talking to delivery drivers. I also alreadyuse it as a pet monitor when I bring it inside—my dog has no idea I can hear her whining at the door 😂 The weather resistance is no joke either. It’s already been through a thunderstorm and a few Texas heatwaves with no issues at all.If you’re looking for a no-fuss, reliable wireless security camera that’s budget-friendly but doesn’t skimp on features, this is it. Roku nailed it with this one.

Off to a Good start, but then….
We had the camera for less than a month and stopped working completely. Called customer service and troubleshooted, but sadly no resolution. Hoping we just had a bad device. Camera pics and range are clwar and crisp!
