Great vacuum!
We had an old Eufy robot vacuum that just wasn’t worth the hassle of using. Our dogs hated the old vacuum and would chase it around, flip it down stairways, etc. It was time to replace it. I purchased a new Eufy self emptying model and hated it after one use. It got stuck in sooooo many places! Plus it had these tiny little bags that it emptied into that would require me to spend a fortune on replacement bags. I returned it and began researching Shark robot vacuums. I ordered this and was in awe of how well it worked! It mapped out our home and let me set up “no go” areas. I have this run every morning and it covers a large area, returns to the base to recharge and then resumes cleaning. It does a really nice job and has cut down on the time needed to run a manual vacuum. With two dogs and a busy household it gets a workout every day! It would not hold 60 days of debris for our household due to the dog hair. But that is not a big deal. I typically empty the canister every two to three weeks even though it isn’t full. It goes over area rugs like a champ! There are three floor vents that it will occasionally get stuck on if it hits them at the right angle…but that only happens about every other week…. and only on one of the three. Getting stuck once out of 14 runs isn’t too bad. Especially when our old Eufy would get stuck multiple times in one run.The cons have been that recently I will get an error saying the bin is not installed correctly…but it is and the vacuum continues to run and works just fine. It’s annoying that the app sends the notification while it is in fact working fine. The other complaint is about the app as well. If the vacuum does get stuck the app will not show where it is. You must activate the beeper on it to locate the vacuum. Not a big deal, unless of course the battery has died and it is unable to beep. Fortunately, we are aware of the three possible spots that it gets hung up and can check those if we are unable to locate it by sound. I do think the battery could last longer. It runs for about 45 minutes on normal power before it needs to return to recharge.Besides its cleaning ability the next best thing…our dogs completely ignore this vacuum! I don’t know if the older one made a sound that only they could hear and find annoying or what. But they have paid zero attention to this since its first run!

Absolutely amazing
First time Shark customer, first time Robot Vacuum owner & user and I’m impressed.I wasn’t sure what brand to buy, being that there are SO many and so many price ranges. I saw this vac at a big box home improvent store and noticed it got the best reviews compared to less and more expensive vacs, with the great price point it was worth a try. Amazon’s price was better than the store.This little vac was extremely easy to set up. Just plug in the dock, place the vac on and charge before your first use. Once charged, download the app from any app store and set up an account. The app guides you through the steps to get the vac started, it’s very easy. Easier than setting up a new phone.Overall this vac seems to be very well made, so we’re very pleased with it.This little bugger picks up a LOT. She (ours is named Rosie after the Jetson’s robot) swept old carpeting that was very dirty due to moving things around and storing in that room. She fluffed the carpet and picked up ALL of the debris on the carpet. She did a better job than my Oreck (my Oreck is older and losing suction, though does a great job on vinyl plank).Suction is A+! As already stated it picked up string, paper pieces, dust, etc, etc off of old carpet. She dusted the plank floors extremely well.This vacuum mauevers very well. She became confused after going under a snack table but DID figure her way out! I was very impressed. It gently bumps it’s way out of situations and to find it’s way.It cleaned under every table, along baseboards, under couches.When we felt she had vacuumed enough, just hit dock button in the app and the vac returns to its dock. We did learn that it’s best to place the doc in an open area, otherwise the vac can’t maneuver into the dock. It needs space to spin and back into it’s dock.A++++ quality, A++++ performance.

1 year 3 months review – 80% good 20% annoying
I’ve had “Lady Whistledown” for a little over a year. Yes I named her that, lol, cause she gets the “dirt” and spills the tea into its disposal, lol! It works 80% well enough to me. The other 20% it’s annoying. It picks up the dirt, it moves from room to room, I clean it on a regular, and does its job 80% of the time. The other 20% it misses the cat fur or certain dust at times and I have dropped it in-front of the vacuum to test it. The replacement parts fall off or don’t fit, it gets stuck at the edge of my carpet at times or folds my carpet over, and gets stuck by the sliding glass door at times. The mapping is horrible. I have tried a million times to set “No-go zones” and Lady Whistledown still goes there. My vacuum did not come with BotBoundary strips. I read on the Shark website under care and maintenance that I should charge it at least once every 3 months. The battery does not last a whole day. Other than that the vacuum does its job and goes off everyday at its scheduled time. I still use my regular vacuum and sweep over the areas to do an extra cleaning. The Shark AV2501AE does not have a mopping feature.

Tenemos problema con los pelos de perros y este nos ha ayudado bastante pero se suelen atorar seguido el cepillo, es más para puro polvo y pelos de mascotas por ejemplo si hay un pedazo de plástico de alguna bolsa se puede atorar y no sirve para casa de 2 pisos nomas crea el mapa de un piso en total no puedes tener varios mapas, es nuestra primera limpiadora robot y si nos ha ayudado bastante nomas por esa parte que mencionó le doy 4 estrellas

Muy buen producto si se utiliza en los lugares adecuados. Lo recomiendo ampliamente para pisos, areas con alfombras de pelo corto y areas despejadas y no muy amplias. Recomendaría un robot con sistema mas avanzado de navegación para areas mas extensas o con muchos cuartos.Nota: no funciona con alexa México, aunque utiliza su propia app y eso es suficiente
