Small safe, just ok
This safe is just ok. I couldn’t really figure out the fingerprint thing so am just using the keys. I like that the keyhole is actually hidden under the logo. I dunno if that’s a regular thing with safes but it’s a nice feature. This safe is on the smaller side, good for papers and maybe a few bits of jewelry but you really can’t put anything bigger inside. The inner shelf is a nice touch to keep things organized and neat.

For safe keeping
I’ve never had a safe before, never really needed one. But I’m thinking about buying something to protect myself and need somewhere to store it that I won’t have to worry about my 16 year old getting access to it. I also have some family jewelry and other little things that, in case of fire or a break in, I’d like to have kept safe and protected. I like that this safe has multiple ways of unlocking, so if the digital means fail to work, I have a physical key that can unlock it. It’s big, but not so big that I can’t hide it in the tv stand or in the closet where it’ll be out of sight. I have a fireproof document case for important documents, but it’ll be nice to have something else that’s fireproof for other important items that don’t fit in the case. It’s heavy and clunky, it seems to be really well made and sturdy. I think it’ll be a nice investment.

Biometric Access is Convenient, But Capacity and Alarm Could Be Better
This Small Biometric Security Lock Box offers a very convenient way to secure important documents and valuables, and the “Upgraded fingerprint scanner” is its strongest feature. Having “Quick Access” via fingerprint is incredibly useful for grabbing items fast, and it works reliably most of the time. The “Removable Shelf” is a good inclusion for organizing smaller items within the “0.78 cubic feet” capacity. It feels sturdy enough for home, office, or hotel use to deter casual theft. However, my reason for a 3-star rating is two-fold: firstly, while labeled as “small,” the internal capacity felt a bit more restrictive than anticipated once a few larger items were in, making me wish for slightly more usable space, especially for family papers. Secondly, the sensitivity or effectiveness of the alarm, while present, felt somewhat underwhelming in deterring tampering, which would have added significantly to our peace of mind. It’s a decent option for quick biometric access, but consider its true internal capacity and alarm robustness for your needs.

Small Biometric Security Lock Box, June 2025This lock box came well packaged as was evident by the crushed nature of the box which happened prior to being put into the undamaged Amazon box. The safe, well padded, came out looking as expected as it had been well protected.The instructions were easy to follow and explained everything in a mannr that was easy to understand. The one time the instructions said to watch for a blinking light but the light didn’t blink was most likely because the instructions were for multiple models which might differ slightly.I lik how easy to use it is and appreciate the multiple was of gaining entry. The fingerprint sensor worked well as did the combination and the keys.The instructions mention many times to NOT store the keys inside the safe. Since the keys are meant for backup in case the electronics fail, that seems self-evident but maybe it isn’t.It was a nice surprise when I found that 8.5″ x 11″ paper fits flat on the bottom. The inner width is longer but doesn’t stay as deep as 8.5″ beyond the 11″ length of the paper.Just an observation that doesn’t detract from my rating: There’s no mention of fire protection with this safe. While it would probably keep flames out, the walls are too thin to keep heat out. I think it would turn into an oven in any significant fire.At this point, I have no plans to use the included hardware to anchor the safe. If I ever do anchor it, I’ll report back if I have any additional observations.

I ordered this for storing important documents and valuables at home. The fingerprint scanner is quick and responsive, and the compact size fits well in a closet or under a desk. I have not had any chance to test how fireproof this thing is, hopefully not gonna find out anytime soon.Pros:_ Fast fingerprint recognition and easy setup_ Removable shelf for extra organization_ Sturdy steel construction for added security_ Perfect size for small valuables_Extra keys are nice to have_Not very heavy, this can be look at as a pro or con depends on who you ask.Cons:_ Internal space is tight with the shelf in place_ Fingerprint sensor can be picky with damp fingersReliable, compact, and modern—great for personal or small office use.
