    Works well, good design
These work very well with my Sonoff ZBDongle-E, and Home Assistant. They return all the information I want to monitor and maintain them: temperature, humidity, LQI, RSSI, battery level, and firmware version. They have an identify feature, where you click a link in HA, and the LED flashes on the sensor. They seem to have good transmit power, I have one in my garage freezer, and it gives clear data. The magnet in the base is nice and strong. They come with a steel plate and a disk of double sided foam tape that can be screwed or stuck to a non-ferrous surface to mount it. The lithium coin cell battery is included, with an insulating plastic tape strip to protect the charge until you’re ready to install it.These do work in a freezer, but the cold degrades the battery life. Amazon also sells the Sonoff SNZB-02LD version, that has the temperature probe on the end of a cable. Those are more appropriate for a freezer. There is a pin hole in the bottom, over a locking catch. You have to use a metal pin, included, to reach through that and push down the catch, in order for the battery cover to rotate open.

Super simple to setup and use if you have Home Assistant
If you already have Home Assistant or something similar setup with a Zigbee mesh, these just come out of the package, pull the tab, pair and “interview” quickly, and they’re doing their job right away: reporting temperature and humidity wherever you put them. I always follow the “pair where you intend to use” advice, so I haven’t challenged them with varying locations.I love the magnetic mount in the back – no sticky adhesive and if you’ve got a metal mounting point you’re done. If not, they provide a metal mounting plate you can attach to wherever you want the sensor either with adhesive or the included screw – it works very well. They are small, unobtrusive – not teeny tiny. The temperature and humidity readings track with other similar sensors I have – the data seems reasonable, you can see the humidity drop subtly when the A/C compressor has been running, rise while it’s off. I have them deployed indoors, near A/C airflow streams, they’re not as deeply affected by the airflow as a “hotter” temp sensor like you might get with a wall powered device that’s doing a bunch of other things.Too early to report on actual battery life, but out of the package they’re self reporting 100% so at least that’s good.Similar sensors with on-device displays are just a little more money, but you may not want the larger or more visible device and I would hope these might have slightly better battery life.

I really like the physical design
The thing I really like about this sensor is the physical design. It’s a small puck-shaped sensor that honestly looks classy and blends into a room. The magnetic mounting is fantastic. It comes with a metal plate in case your substrate is not metal – but that plate is bright orange, probably not the best for coordinating with any decor. It connected quickly to my Hubitat, and appears to be reporting accurate data and staying connected to the network. Battery life remains to be seen.

    Accurate readings
Great function,, and has great accuracy from my comparison with other devices used for a sanity check. Advertises several years of battery life, think of it like those long life carbon monoxide testers. Use’s the Zigbee network, so low power draw and no WiFi bandwidth. Keeps a strong connection with my Hubitat Hub. Alexa recognizes it once I finalized all the integration, but temperature only. Did I mention how small these are? Fits in the palm of your hand. One screw for the mounting plate (metal) and it magnetically holds for easy replacement every couple of years. Simple single button operation to initiate pairing to your hub.But if you have a thermostat, what’s the point? Well, I have a half attic and exposed/unfinished crawl space. The attic gets hot and the crawlspace gets damp. Both unfinished areas get little to no airflow. Before I invest in ventilation, I wanted to monitor whether the investment is warranted. Through the Hubitat logs, I can do that. Additionally, once the exhaust fans are installed, I can use the sensors to command a “rule” to turn the fans in the effected areas on and off, hopefully increasing air quality and energy efficiency in the home.

Two devices. Both disconnected within 1 day and won’t reconnect.
I got two of these SNZB-02P temperature/humidity sensors. I hooked them up to home assistant. The first one died within an hour. The second was dead the next day. The devices were still both powered and would flash the light when the button was pressed, but it will not talk to the home assistant hub any more. I thought it was a range problem initially, but now they are sitting next to the hub and still don’t talk. Don’t buy. Even if it did work, these things use a button cell, so it will have limited battery life. There is no external power input so you can’t put it on a power supply. Basically a useless product.

Good when they work, but are generally unreliable.
Their accuracy is acceptable when they work, but of all the zigbee devices in my network, these are the most finicky for keeping connected. I’ve bought 4, and I intend on replacing them with something else. I’ll keep them around for locations with a strong signal, but not for anything that is critical.

Easy to use sensors, but it of course requires a Zigbee gateway. It was very easy to pair with the Sonoff Zigbee dongle through Home Assistant.
