HOW BUDDY WORKS
THE STAY IN BED LIGHT
The soft glow of the RED light lets your child know it is time to sleep. This light is optional. You can set it to turn on according you your personal needs and it will stay lit until the yellow (soon) or green (wake-up) light come on. When you are using the Stay in Bed Light, there will be a little moon icon next to the time to let you and your child know what time bedtime is.
THE SOON LIGHT
The gentle YELLOW light lets your child know that it is almost time to awake. This light is optional. It can be turned on or off and is programmed to illuminate for a set duration of 20 minutes before the green Wake-Up light comes on. When the yellow SOON light is on, there will also be a little hand icon with the pointer finger up under the time of day signaling that it is almost time to get out of bed.
THE WAKE UP LIGHT
The friendly GREEN glow of the wake-up light lets your child know that it is ok to get out of bed. This light will turn on at the time you have previously set and will stay lit for 1 hour if it is not turned off. Accompanying the green light is an optional alarm sound that will beep for 10 minutes or until turned off.

Everything I Needed
I make it a point to read the bad reviews before buying anything to try and get the whole picture. I almost didn’t buy this based on some of the poor reviews but thought I would give it a shot and am glad I did. Some of the negative reviews are a bit odd on this. For one, I have never seen a more clear and yet very concise instruction booklet (with pictures i might add). Instructions are crystal clear and even include shortcuts for some of the programming. There is a way to turn off the alarm, which is also clearly outlined in the instruction book. There is a way to swap from 12 hour and 24 hour time, 3 light dimming modes which are great, and the book clearly says if you set the stay in bed time for a time before the current time (i.e. 7:00 PM but it’s 7:15 PM), the red light won’t come on until the next night. Perhaps they’ve recently updated the instructions, I’m not sure. The numbers are clear and not difficult to read unless you are looking down from above the clock at an angle, which is true of most digital clocks I have seen, so not something unexpected for a digital clock display).I have had this for a week and it has worked perfectly so far. Bonus which I didn’t realize is the light part is also a nightlight, only if you want, which you can program for a specific period of time and turn off and on simply by pushing the top. So if it’s go to sleep time and you push the nightlight button, a soft white light shows for whatever period of time you set (say 30 minutes). After the time is up, the light will go back to whatever color it’s supposed to be then (i.e. red).Anyway, this has exactly the functionality described, is easy to use, my son loves it, I love it, and so far nothing has broken and it seems well made. Only suggestions for buyers: read the description, and then if you buy it, read the instructions. Enjoy your sleep!

Great clock
We ordered this clock for our toddler who seemed to think that whenever she woke up was time to get up, even if that was 3am. It has worked like a charm – she waits for the light to go green, turns it off and comes upstairs all excited to tell us that it “turned green!”. I love that you have the option for an alarm and a “soon” alert but that neither of them are required. The clock is easy to use. Basically you set the time you want it to turn red and the time you want it to turn green and then it goes automatically. Naps are easy to add as well, though you do have to set the time manually for that each time, but it’s not difficult. I also highly recommend the customer service – the original clock we received had a slight malfunction, although it was still usable. But when we reached out to the seller, they immediately shipped us a replacement clock and even reached out about a week later to make sure all was well with the replacement (it was!). All in all, highly recommend.

Decent clock but it needs a backup battery.
Great clock with only two issues: 1) difficult to program (one mistake and you have to cycle through all the other screens to get back) and 2) it resets whenever it’s unplugged (would benefit from a backup battery).Our biggest annoyance is having to reprogram the thing daily because the kids jostled the cord and it reset. All of the features work well — it just needs a battery backup to prevent immediate resetting or a simpler way to program the times.

Exactly what I was looking for
I’m glad that I purchased this for my kids. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, customizable, and functional for color waking/sleeping. It also has a white color for soon to wake and a setting for naps and an option for no sound alarm which is great. It includes a couple cute books too. This has helped us sleep longer. Definitely recommend!

My kids LOVE this clock!
I found this clock really easy to set up and use—especially for helping with naptime and building a better sleep routine. It’s been a great tool for teaching my child how to tell time, and the color changes really grab their attention. I love that it works for a wide range of ages too. That said, the experience seems to vary. While it worked great for us at first, I noticed some reviews mentioning it stopped working after a few months, and a few people said theirs broke within the first two. The brightness settings are a bit hit or miss—some people like that it’s dimmable, but others still find the light too bright. Overall, it’s been helpful for our routine, but the durability might be something to keep in mind.

Awesome Customer Service
This has been a great clock to have in our daughter’s room. It’s worked exactly as it should for the last 2 years. The cord started to get finicky the past few months and the clock would turn on and off. I messaged customer service to ask for the size of the cord to buy a new one and they quickly said they’d be happy to send a replacement cord. It came quickly and now the clock is back to normal. Great customer service and great product!

Good clock, great customer service
It took a few minutes to figure out how to set it up, but once I did, it works well. Would be nice if you could have different settings for weekday vs weekend, but even without that, it’s a good little clock.More than a year after purchase, I noticed it was turning off a lot, and I think the power cord was the culprit. I reached out to the company, fully expecting to be told that it’s out of warranty, sorry, please buy a new one. Instead, they asked for my address, shipped a new cord that same day (it arrived 3 days later), and then sent me a follow up email to make sure everything was good. Outstanding customer service.Now my youngest is ready for a clock like this, and I’m going to buy another of this same model.

Game changer!
This alarm clock was a game changer for us! Bought in 2023 for our two year old. It was very easy to implement for our daughter and gave her and us more rest because she was an early walker!My two complaints- First, back up battery isn’t helpful for anything but keeping your settings saved. Two, the cord is NOT sturdy at all. It didn’t last us long at all before needing a replacement. It broke at both the connection points to the usb end and DC end. Would appreciate it coming with an additional one for back up or a better quality cord.

Wanted a battery powered one to reduce cables in toddler’s room and bought this based on the description. Sadly the battery function is just to keep your settings if there is a power outage. The red, amber and green lights do not work unless the clock is plugged in. Otherwise a good purchase.

Love this clock- I used it to tell my 3 year old toddler that the sleep buddy is here to take care of her while she sleeps and mummy goes back to her own room. What used to be 2 hours of lying in bed with her till she sleeps is now a 10-20 mins affair with no tears . Toddler loves the book that comes with it too. Naps are still a struggle but she knows to stay in her room with her sleep buddy till it’s green.. giving adults some respite . Great clock!!

I looked for a long time to find an okay to wake clock that was red/green.I tried a more “fancy” and expensive sleep tool which relied on WiFi and programming to work and it just failed so many times.This clock has been amazing. Simple and does the job perfectly. Instructions are VERY easy to follow.
