Works perfectly, reads easily.
These replaced some pretty basic 1D scanners at our store. It’s great being able to scan a barcode without having to worry about angle or that the full barcode is flat. This will read things very easily. It uses an LED white light to light up the item and read barcodes. It’s easy to configure using the manual found online if you don’t like the default configuration; for instance, our POS does not like UPC-E codes but we can make it expand to UPC-C. It would be nice if the manuel was included but it’s very easy to find the PDF manual on their website. The light is fairly bright so some may be bother by this, but it’s fine with me and my staff. They’ve been reliable so far after about a month of use and they look nice and clean. This is a great lower cost option for a 2D presentation scanner, with the next in line being a Honeywell that uses lasers.

We have purchased several of these scanners. We had to replace one scanner out of about 20 that just died. Lights wouldn’t turn on. Amazon replaced it and all others have worked well.

Good, reliable and ,easy to setup scanner.
Worked well with a raspberry pi and 2D barcodes. Has a large scanning aerea and good response time. I have it in environment where it scans 150 barcodes in a day and it works well. One drawback is it can double scan if you are not careful.

Ordered it due to high reviews, but it did not work well at all for me; sent back. Then ordered the Zebra DS9208 which turned out to work much better.

Easy to setup
Easy to setup, easy to use. Works right out the box. Have had great luck on both 1D and 2D barcodes. Scans fast. Makes loud scan beep.

The scanner software drivers were easy to install for “Notepad”, “Excel” and COM port use . ; I use the latter to interface with a program.

Well built, great support.
Very stable on plastic table, accurate scans, and very good technical support. The volume was very loud but a simple call informed us how to lower scan volume and get rid of an extra character added after a scan.

Problems with the light sensor
I have problems with the light sensor, sometimes it doesn’t turn the light on with the paper in front of the scanner i will try this in my laptop to see if it works better

Great compact scanner, responds to item passed in front of it quickly and easily. Arrives in Keyboard Wedge mode so you can simply plug it in and what is scanned is entered into an application as if it were typed on the keyboard. We needed to use it in “Serial over USB” mode so a scan or two of codes in the manual (don’t lose it!) set the scanner up for that. We use it to scan DataMatrix barcodes as required for FMD (we use it with ezFMD) and it works great.
