Garage Opener: Worked Only When Zigbee Was Always Connected
I am experimenting this smart button as a garage door opener remote. This device connected to my Home Assistant immediately, and easy to incorporate into automation. The blue LED indicator comes on when the button is placed but pretty faint, so it’s hard to see the blue light especially during the daytime. While I can open the garage door from the inside the house reliably, but not from outside the house – due to the limited range of zigbee. Since the remote will go offline when the remote is away from the house and need to reconnect to the network, this may be why the remote will not open the garage door immediately. I am still optimizing zigbee network, but beginning to think that my old 90s garage door remote is more reliable and has a better range than zigbee-based remote. I tried another company’s zigbee remote, but no better, possibly worse than this one.Update: I ended up using a wifi-based smart button as a garage door opener, which I found it more reliable. Reconnecting to the zigbee network is too slow (I think). I still like using this zigbee button for disarming my blink system and as a smart light switch, in both cases, the button is always connected to my zigbee network at home. Unlike a bluetooth based button used in the same circumstances, this zigbee button works 100% of time.Update 2 (August 2025): Almost a year since I purchased this zigbee remote. I now have three in my house for arming/disarming my blink system and turning on/off my bedroom light. I gave up all smart options (zigbee, bluetooth, wifi buttons) as a garage door remote in the car – I think reconnecting to the home network just takes too long so I went back to the original RF remote. From inside the house, no problem though.

Great button after update and a few days passed
Perfect for my usage. low/no lag, unlike my Google home, seems well made and cheaper than some I reviewed. Buttons have 3 functions- single, double and hold. hold did not appear as a choice until I updated the firmware- and a couple days went by. But these work great for my use. They are also small so don’t take up much space. This worked so well I picked up another and will probably just get a 3-pack next.

Works, room to label, assorted colors
This works very well with my Sonoff ZBDongle-E, and Home Assistant. The automation to have it control a Matter Leviton D26HD dimmer switch was easy.I particularly like that it’s avalable in four colors, for easy color coding. There’s also plenty of room for a label.Two minor complaints are it does not have an identify function, and it’s mac address is not printed on it. However, they aren’t needed, since you can just see the button press events in Home Assistant.

The best ZigBee switch ever
I have this LED shop light that plugs into the ceiling but nothing to control it. The light has a chain to turn on the shop light. But i wanted a wall switch but didn’t want to rewire the outlet to a switch which would require doing some drywall cutting and repairing.So I bought this ZigBee Smart Button and paired it to my Hubitat C8 which was very easy and smooth. I also had some extra Kasa HS103P2 Smart Wi-Fi outlets. I created an App and now have the ZigBee switch control the Kasa outlet to turn on/off my shop light.I used the magnets to place the ZigBee switch next to the Kasa motion switch, which controls a different light. I like that it is battery operated and that i can move the ZigBee switch around at any time.The ZigBee switch can have 3 different mode by pressing the button once, twice or hold. Currently i don’t have a second device to control or a 2nd function do, so it currently only does one thing with the single press.I bought it when it was on sell for about $16. Right now it sells for $20, but even at that price it is well worth it.

Convenient and Versatile Smart Button for Home Automation
I recently set up Home Assistant at home and wanted to try a smart button as a convenient alternative to voice assistants and tablets for controlling my lights. After searching on Amazon, I came across the THIRDREALITY ZigBee Smart Button, which works universally with any Zigbee hub. I paired it with the Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus-E Gateway (Universal Zigbee Gateway Adapter with Antenna), and the setup process on Home Assistant was incredibly easy.This button is a game-changer! With just a single click, I can turn on the lights, two clicks turn them off, and holding the button plays music on my Sonos system. It’s incredibly convenient and impressively versatile.I chose the yellow color, making it easy to spot, and I love that it comes with magnetic stickers, so I can attach it to my bed frame. However, the item does look a bit cheap, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, it’s an excellent gadget that has significantly enhanced my smart home experience.

Absolutely unreliable
I have dozens of these buttons. The buttons fall offline constantly and lose button programing. I have a significant zigbee network with well spaced repeaters. Still have intermittent issues. I have probably close to 100 Thirdreality devices across 2 homes running on Smartthings / Aeotec hubs. In general all my Thirdreality Zigbee devices are flaky and I would not buy them again.

Very handy!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:We have two of these switches and use them with our SmartThings hub to control some lamps. They work great and were easy to set up. We started having a problem with one after about 8 months of use. The button sometimes would work and other times wouldn’t. I contacted the company and they immediately responded and had a replacement mailed to us. We are very happy with the customer service and with the switches.

El equipo no funciona directo con alexa aunque tenga zigbee, se ocupa un hub, si estas en mexico tienes que hacer el cambio de pais en ka configuracion de tu alexa, de lo contrario el skill no funcionara, tiene restriccion geografica una vez que lo haces eso funciona muy bien.Cuatro estrellas debido debido a que tengo que usar hub adicional y cambiar zona geografica en alexa.Adicional a esto cada que hay un corte de electricidad hay que configurarse de nuevo.
