The square mini-plug does not work with Kasa
2nd Update: We continue to buy these plugs and have had really good luck with them (knock on wood.) The only time anything turned off was because we had overloaded the circuit. I really like that they can be set to go on/off with sunrise/sunset PLUS they have an “offset” so they can, for example, go on 1/2 an hour before sunset and go off 45 minutes after sunrise. We “share” the privileges so we can both turn things on or off exclusive of the timer.Update: Bought two more as they work really well as basic timers (fans, nightlights, etc.). I found the app really easy to use.Original review: My bad for not verifying that the little square one wouldn’t work with my Kasa app. I can’t speak to whether or not the larger, oval one does, but the little square one does not. That said, I eventually downloaded the tapo app and the set up was very quick and easy. Configuring it to go on/off a little after sunrise/sunset, was easy too. Great price for a basic, easy-to-use, no-frills timer.

Best smart plug ever
These little plugs are the best! They are easy to set up and integration with Alexa is simple. I tried other brands but the Tapo outshines those by a mile. Sometimes they lose connection (that’s bound to happen), and if the plug need to be completely reset (in the app) and reinstalled, you have a choice of keeping the previous settings or programming new ones. Only one glitch; if the plug does need to be reinstalled and is being used with a smart device, like Echo, for example, and is in a group, then the plug will need to be added to the group again. For example: you have a group called “office” and a group called “all on”, but you had to reset the “lights” plug. After resetting it, you would need to tell your Echo to “add lights to the “all on” group” and “add “lights” to the “office” group”.

Great addition to smart home
Great addition for any smart home. The app is very easy to use. Durable plug. Size is perfect. Not too big.

Won’t work with WPA3
Had to downgrade our WIFI security protocol to WPA2 (this thing doesn’t work with WPA3) to get it to work. After that, none of the other devices on our network would recognize the router. Switched back to WPA3 to get our network back; now the plug is offline and unusable. If a firmware upgrade comes out soon to make it compatible with WPA3, I’ll give it another chance. Otherwise, it’s a complete waste of money.

Inexpensive Alternative to TP-Link Kasa
Pros:Much cheaper than TP-Link Kasa product line.Apps works fine with plenty features.Slim design & save space & looks good.Cons:Need to download a separate app – not work with existing Kasa app.May block the other plug in the wall plate.

Works on small devices
This looks like a great device, but there are problems.1. You can only use one of the outlets after using this device. You can’t plug anything else in because of the design of the product.2. This will only allow you to run smaller devices. We needed a 15A device and this is a 10A device.

Works like a charm
Bought this for my sons nursery because the plug for his lamp was in an area that was hard to reach and this plug makes it short easy to turn the light out just by using my voice with the echo dot. You can also control the light with the Tapo app as well which is super easy to use too! Great value

Very easy to setup and connect when you have downloaded the Tapo app on your phone. I bought it because my pumpsum doesn’t work when the water is not automatically pump out from my basement. Instead of replacing the pump sum I use this smart outlet to setup a schedule to turn on and off the pump sum.

Pros: Fácil de instalar y configurar.Contras: No detecta la red 5G al configurarlo use la red 2.4G.Algo voluminoso te robará un contacto, si usas milticontactos o regletas para conectarlo.
