Various Monitoring Parameters: The power meter plug can monitor the power (W), energy (kWh), volts, amps, hertz, power factor, cost, minimum and maximum power (W), cumulative days and time of your appliances. By switching 7 display modes, you can easily know the various parameters while the appliance is working. The home energy monitor can also calculate and display how much power your appliance uses and how much electricity bill it cost in cumulative time.
Upgraded LCD display: With large screen size 2.36 inch x 1.85 inch, clearer monitor backlit, our electrical usage monitor can display the data clearer and more visible no matter day or night. 180°full wide viewing angles is great for reading and recording the data in any angles. No need to stand on the front of the display and bend over to read the numbers.
Adjustable Backlight Time: Our upgraded watt meter has 5 options of backlight time. The default backlight time duration is 10 minutes(bL-0). If you want to change the backlight time, you can press and hold “UP” and “DOWN” button at the same time to enter backlight time setting, then press “UP” and “DOWN” to select the backlight time (bL-0 =10 minutes, bL-1=1 hour, bL-2=4 hours, bL-3=8 hours, bL-4=always on), finally press the “COST” to save the backlight time settings.
Overload protection: When the power of the appliance exceeds the overload power, the LCD will display “OVERLOAD” to warn the user. All the buttons will quit working and can only be workable when you lower or remove the load power. The default overload power is 3680W and is adjustable from 0 to 3680W. In general, you need to set the overload power to 1800W before using. Just press the “function” button for more than 3 seconds to enter the setting.
Data Memory Function: The wattage meter will record your power consumption data when you remove it from socket, or remove appliances from the electricity monitor. You can directly see the last data when you use it next time. This function can also automatically save the data when there is a sudden power failure.
Monitor Your Energy Usage:Our watt meter power analyzer lets you track electricity consumption and manage power usage to help save on bills. It works as a voltage, kilowatt, current, and electricity meter. If you have any questions about your meter socket, feel free to contact us.

Slay energy vampires in your home with this device!!
I had always wanted one of these to help understand power usage through my home. This one has good good features, works well and is easy to read at a distance. All you do is plug it in and then plug in whatever device you’re interested in getting insight into. Quick and easy to use!I’ve now gone through my home checking to see what the power usage is of various devices, such as our trusty coffee maker, lamps, TV, Internet and other such things. All this in preparation for knowing just how much power we’ll need in a power loss scenario, so we can adaquately plan for a solar generator. If you’re interested in finding out where the energy vampires are in your home, this is your tool!

An excellent and low cost way to measure wattage/kWh use around the house….
Got a pair of these to use for monitoring/measuring wattage consumption for various appliances and devices in our house, prior to having a generator switch installed in our house. In order to determine the branches to power through the generator switch box and how much each branch will consume for the total wattage and capacity of our generator, these two plug in monitors are proving to be worth their weight in gold! The display is crisp, the text sharp and easy to read and the backlight display, when needed, is a huge plus. The assorted options available for settings and view of volts, amps, watts, watt-hours, electrical cost factor, etc, are also excellent.Delighted with these and I might be ordering one more to monitor another major appliance we’d be using during a power-outage and generator use.My only regret is not being able to monitor 240 volt appliances like our oven/range and dryer, but, I’m searching for one specifically for this and if they’re available, I’ll consider getting one of those as well.As for these wattage monitors, delighted with their performance and the reasonable cost per unit. 5 Stars all around!

Excellent Power Meter
Simple to use, works as advertised, and delivered as promised. I now know how much load the Christmas lights outside are adding to a recently added landscape lighting system. I now have peace of mind.

Simple and useful
Easy to use. With four functional buttons. Lights up blue when in use and turns off after seconds of no use. Has various modes to see how much is being used – amperage, watts, volts. Can also insert energy cost to see how much its costing.

Great tool to watch power utilization and costs
Power meter works better than expected. Love the features including the ability to set your local cost of electricity my kWh enabling you to quickly see “How much is this thing costing me!”.

Good product at a good price
Simple to use and gives you lots of data would recommend this product. Purchased this item to tell me how many amps a fridge was drawing. You can use this item for many things like checking the power draw when your TV is turned off.

Performs just as well as higher-priced models.
The Mecheer Upgraded Power Meter is one of many available on the market. I own three power meters—one for each of my homes—and find them very useful, whether for reducing energy consumption or checking if an electronic device is actually working and drawing power. When I bought my first meter years ago, I opted for an expensive model. The second was mid-priced, and this time I decided to try a budget option—the Mecheer currently sells at about $12 on Amazon. Interestingly, all three perform the same, and I haven’t noticed any meaningful differences. While I haven’t yet tested this model’s long-term durability, it works as advertised and seems reliable. I’d certainly recommend it for home or DIY use.Disclaimer: I am a regular paying customer and did not receive any incentives from the seller or manufacturer.

Excellent Tool for Tracking Home Energy Usage
This watt meter is fantastic! I used it to track down high electricity usage in my home, and it was incredibly helpful. The display is easy to read, setup is simple, and it provides accurate measurements that helped me identify which appliances were using the most power. It’s a must-have for anyone looking to monitor and reduce their energy consumption. Highly recommended!

Easy to use meter to monitor electricity usage. READ the manual so you know how to use the device. Works great once you have it figured out.

Meter appears to work well, but the build quality isn’t great. Removing the thin clear film from the display seemed to almost pull the display out of the casing.

Useful bit of kit, the back light is a must for these devices as often plugged in away from you, this stays on for a full ten minutes which is ideal to pop back and see how things are going.it can be programmed with your tariff cost and work out current usage but as using a spreadsheet I just use the kwh along with minutes used.Good investment and would recommend this model.

I was a bit skeptical due to some bad review, complains about the back-light and display, and also some terrifying pictures of molten plugs. However IF someone read the manual, it specifically specifies that the device configuration MUST be changed before use.Out of the box the power limit before a shut off is set to 3600W. Any reasonably knowledgeable person will set this to 1500W max, or even lower to match the expected power rating of the connected device. The display is fine, but must have the back-light on to see it. There are also configuration for setting the back-light timeout. I set it to manual, so I hit the “UP” button to turn it on, and use the “DOWN” to turn it off. You can choose other options. Some other complaints were about accuracy at low power, again this is addressed in the manual. So it turns out that most negative 1 star reviews were basically regarding issues that were addressed in the included documentation anyways. There are valid concerns, such as the device not being certified, or tested by various relevant certification bodies, and for this category of device it is desirable to have proper certifications. However, having the device certified will probably push up the price way higher than what this is selling for right now. Additionally the competition is charging a lot more for an inferior experience. So just take it for what it is.
