Good quality & trasonably priced
So easy to use. Very lightweight. I used it at the National Archives to scan hundreds of documents in very little time. The scans were very high quality. Positioning the document was easy.

Not Recommended
Out of the box it “works” per say, after finding the software which seems to be behind a non-secure website, however the LED light only lights up part of document and leaves the rest of the document dark and causes a bad image. If you play with the contrast and brightness, then you find the camera casts a shadow over the page. Support tried to make suggestions but this is not working for me. Scan to PDF searchable does not even work with their own user guide provided much less any other document. I will return and will not recommend this product. I am going back to a flatbed scanner and wait for this technology to get better.

El escáner no me dejó satisfecho del todo. Es muy complicado para escanear los libros, las imágenes salen borrosas al menor movimiento, por lo que he optado por volver a utilizar el escáner CANON LIDE 220 que toma mejores imágenes para los libros.La mejor ventaja del equipo es para documentos como documentos y hojas sueltas, lo cual es muy rápido para obtener la imagen.

It’s not a scanner and mine wouldn’t even install
Using a Surface Pro 64-bit laptop with Windows 11 Pro, there was no way to install this.I tried via their downloadable app (Viisa OfficeCam) and the Windows “Find Device program. The camera would not be recognized, although the light did go on, so it was connected.And, in the end, that’s what this is; it’s not a scanner, it’s a camera. With the downloadable software (Free), you can use any camera attached to or not connected to your computer to do the same thing. All this does is take a picture of what you place on the black mat, and with the software, you can convert it to jpeg, pdf, or other formats, including video (the camera even has a microphone). Probably the best thing about this set is the lovely black mat that comes with it to give you a nice background for the photos.Even if this worked, it’s no better than any other camera, and it is certainly not a scanner; it simply takes photos and uses software that can be found anywhere to convert the images to different formats.In its defense, it’s not a bad camera for ~$60, but it’s nothing special either.
