No, the pet camera only work with 2.4 Ghz WiFi.
1. If your 2.4G & 5G Wi-Fi have the same name (SSID) and password, it will auto connect to the 2.4G WiFi
2. If the Wi-Fi names or passwords are different, you need to make the camera connect with 2.4G
Is there a monthly cloud storage fee? Can I use only local recording?

Love the camera and price!
I absolutely love the vimtag cameras!! I have two for indoors to keep an eye on my toddler at night, and the other for my dog while I’m not home. I can talk through them, move them around from my phone, and hear everything. Setting it up was super quick and easy! Definitely recommend these for others!

Diese Kamera ist wirklich klasse! Sie ist klein und handlich und kann festmontiert oder einfach ins Regal gestellt werden. Da die Linse einen wirklich großen Radius erfasst, ist die Raumüberwachung sehr effektiv. Im hohen Regal platziert, kann ich fast jeden Winkel des Zimmers einsehen. Das Bild ist dabei von sehr guter Qualität, gestochen scharfe Bilder! Die Bedienung ist auch unkompliziert. Ich bin froh, dieses Produkt entdeckt zu haben. Es gibt mir ein besseres Gefühl von Sicherheit und Kontrolle.

Ich habe dieses Produkt durch das Amazon Vine Test-Programm kostenfrei erhalten. Es folgt meine objektive, persönliche Meinung/Rezension dazu:Sie ist recht kompakt, diese drahtlose WLAN-Überwachungskamera für Innenräume, und außer einem Stromanschluss (ein langes USB-C-Kabel liegt incl. Steckernetzteil bei) und einem vorhandenen WLAN braucht sie nur noch eine herunterladbare App (‘Vimtag’), um zu arbeiten.Die Einrichtung ist simpel, in der App einen Account anlegen, die Kamera suchen und verbinden und nach wenigen Sekunden kann die Kamera ihren Dienst aufnehmen.Sie kann ihren Kamerakopf fast komplett drehen und um 115° neigen, verfügt über Mikrofon und Lautsprecher und speichert die Videos auf einer (nicht enthaltenen) MicroSD-Karte – optional auch in der Cloud, das ist aber nicht kostenfrei, jedoch gibt’s einen Gratis Testmonat dafür. Die Auflösung beträgt 4MP (Full-HD), das ist gut und man sieht auch Details recht gut.Die Kamera reagiert auf Bewegungen und Geräusche und kann einem Objekt wie etwa einer Person oder einem Haustier folgen. Das geht auch Nachts, dazu ist eine Infrarot-LED eingebaut, deren Ausleuchtung ist ausreichend. Entdeckt die Kamera eine Bewegung oder erfasst sie ein Geräusch, wird ein Alarm an die Handy-App gesendet und man kann gleich das Live-Video betrachten. Die eingebaute Gegensprechanlage erlaubt auch eine 2-Wege-Kommunikation mit der Gegenstelle. Sogar ein Alarmton kann aktiviert werden, etwa um ungebetene Gäste anzuschrecken.Die Kamera lässt sich auch über Alexa steuern, das konnte ich jedoch nicht testen, da es bei mir keine Alexa-Geräte gibt.Alles in allem eine feine kleine Kamera mit einer guten Auflösung, gut zu steuern und auch die App ist gut gelungen. Auch der Preis geht in Ordnung, also bekommt diese Kamera meine Empfehlung .
