Q: What systems are compatible with this thermostat?
A: Our smart thermostat is compatible with 90% of system: Conventional (2H/2C); Heat Pump (4H/2C);
Supports natural gas, electric, hot water, gas fireplaces (24 Volts), oil heat sources; heat pump, dual fuel.
All system types require a common wire (C-Wire).
Q: What systems are NOT compatible with this thermostat?
A: Does not work with electric baseboard heat (110VAC~240V AC), millivolt systems;
Does not support S terminals for indoor and outdoor sensors.
Q: How about the Wi-Fi connectivity about this thermostat?
A: We have conducted iterative testing and upgraded the internal chipset and UI design.
Now, we have successfully resolved the issue of unstable Wi-Fi connection.
Q: Can you set the screen times out?
A: Yes, tap the setting icon on the Menu page, tap the “Screen” button to turn on/off for the “Screen Saver”.
If you want to keep the screen be on all the time, please turn on the “Screen Saver”, or turn off it.
Q: Is this thermostat accurate?
A: Yes, but there may be a slight error, we have tested it many times in various environments and the deviation is not more than 2F.
What If There Is No C-Wire?
If you do not have the C wire, you can try to do as follows, but please confirm with your HVAC manufacturer or the electric engineer firstly.
1. Furnace Part: Put Gwire connect to C terminal, use the black jumper wire connect G and Y or W(if you need heat, connect to W, otherwise connect to Y)
2. Thermostat Part: Connect G wire to C terminal on the wallplate. G terminal on the wallplate is blank.
What is a C-Wire? A C-wire, also known as a common wire or a “continuous wire” It is an electrical wire that provides a constant source of power to a thermostat or other HVAC.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
I’ve read off some of these reviews and it’s obvious to me some of these folks didn’t even bother to read the instructions. CLOSELYAlso i had my heating/AC guy install the thing. I can tell some of these negative reviews were people who installed it themselves. Even my heating and cooling guy had to look some settings up ie single step or two step ac, etc etc etc. Just pay for the service.My temperature was high at first but as soon as the display timed out (went off) i waited about 10 minutes and pulled up the app on my phone and temp and humidity were spot on.programming was easy as pie. very intuitive.i cannot find anything to complain about except my irrational with these people who don’t know how to read directions and who don’t know their own limits.

Have been having the thermostat heating up and shutting off. Tried to contacts customer support. Can’t understand the person I was talking to. They had a very thick Indian accent. Tried calling the next 2 days and left messages with no call back. I would not recommend.

Temp discrepancies on unit
Easy installation, web based installation was cumbersome, temp is still off by about 4 maybe 5 degrees from all my other thermometers. No way to fix this. With the cost of this unit, Vine do betterUpdate, several days later received text from Vine on procedure to calibrate thermstat. Completed and it seems to be working. would have saved time if this was in the instructions. If you are having similar issues you need to contact Vine for instructions

Got the 4 in Mandingo version
I never leave reviews but this is worth it. I love this thermostat…works perfectly. I had to reconfigure the wiring to add “C” which actually powers the unit up. That only took like 5 min & a YouTube video. The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t verbally adjust the temperature. I can verbally turn the ac/heat on and off but can’t verbally drop or raise temperature. But I can adjust it with my phone…from anywhere at anytime so I’m 😁

I dont believe I would is 8 degrees off temprature reading
The temprature reading on this thing is 8 degrees higher then what it is in the house. It doesnt read accurately based off of three different temprature devices in my house. Theres no way to calibrate the true temprature reading

Basic Function Falls Flat
Initially, the unit registered the temp higher than the actual temp in the room. It recently had an update that fixed that issue but it does not keep the temp it is set to. For example, Set to 74 and it is not running at 76. The wide temperature swing is unacceptable. There are better choices!
