Very impressed
Did research before I bought this and agree that the remote is a little annoying at first. Yes it’s only useful in direct light, but after we went through the settings to get the sound the way we wanted we just put it away since we control the volume with our TV remote using ARC connection. Suggest downloading the Vizio Smartcast App and you can change all the settings better plus take care of any updates. This is connected to our Amazon Toshiba Fire TV and am very impressed with the sound! Turn the TV off, sound bar turns off together, and on again automatically when we turn the TV back on which is very nice. Haven’t tried the Bluetooth setting with my phone, but since the Amazon TV already has Amazon Music we just play it on that instead. We didn’t purchase any stands, we just placed the back speakers on end tables on both back sides of our living room, placed the subwoofer behind us, and we get the effect we want for surround sound. Easy connection, and although the subwoofer is already synced with the sound bar as soon as they’re plugged in and turned on, the instructions suggest syncing them again to secure the connection. I haven’t regretted purchasing this with the bad reviews because I had to try it out for myself to see if those bad reviews were correct.

Great sound. Good bass. Easy setup
Had a little apprehensiveness about this system from people who like to split hairs on review sites. I have a system with a JBL sub that has 800 watts, but it’s a little dated as far as what it decides. No Dolby true hd or dts master audio like this vizio atmos bar does. Anyway I am impressed without a doubt. The system is tuned for low end sound the way I did not expect to get from a 6 inch sub driver compared to my 10 inch JBL sub with 5.1. I’ve looked at the Samsung and LG atmos sound bars, they are good. But I’m gonna be honest the Samsung and LG don’t even come close for the money. Vizio legitimately makes good sound bars and i never really considered them before this. But I wanted atmos and it sounds great and does it’s job. Does it compare to a $1500 receiver and Polk audio speakers? No. But it’s not bad by any means. A+ to vizio on their sound bars.

Has persistent issues
When all is working as it should, it sounds great. Problem is, it often has issues working as it should. For example, it will decide to turn itself off. Why, who knows? In the middle of watching something, after being on for a while, just turned on a few minutes ago, there’s no rhyme or reason.Second, the connectivity issues with the subwoofer (and connected satellite speakers). There will be intermittent drops. It’ll play for 3 seconds, then drop and reconnect, and do this for endlessly. The firmware is up to date (1.12.11.1), the subwoofer is 3-4 feet away from the soundbar. I have re-paired them, nothing helps.It’s such a pain, I really regret buying this when so many people warned others about these exact issues. Even if Vizio can fix this, I don’t really want to keep this setup. I’d rather pay another $100 more to have a working setup.2022 Update: Still not working, firmware update 1.31.06.1 has just made things worse. Never buy anything Vizio, please listen.

Intermitent loss
Hi,Got an apple TV 4K connected to the sound bar and this to my Samsung TV both through HDMI. Stream movies from Netflix. My broadband is 75Mb. When everything works the img quality and the sound is amazing, but when no it is a nightmare. The movie swaps suddenly between 5.1 and Dolby Atmos or the img is frozen in the middle of the movie or the screen starts to flickering. I’ve tried to change ports in my TV, reset my apple TV, change the format to 50Hz but nothing works. Don’t know if it is a set up issue, has something to do with the wires, with the apple TV, with the sound bar…. Again this is not always the same and it’s worse depending of the title. 1 thing don’t know if it is relevant. I bought this product in US but I’m living in UK. Any ideas? Thanks a lot

Powerful speaker for the $, with Atmos, it’s a steal.
If you set up the bar properly (do your homework) you get a great, powerful sound. Plus, with the up firing and rear speakers for Atmos this is a steal…It does not work as well in large rooms with high ceilings, which for $300, has to be understood. Also, you need to be aware that you need source material and streaming services that have Atmos to get the effect. Bottomline, even if you’re unimpressed with the atmos effect you get an excellent sounding soundbar for the money.

vizio soundbar
Sound is excellent, connections and set-up was easy, but the sound bar occasionally and without reason will revert to non-surround sound mode or shut off altogether. It will usually, but not always, start back up if I unplug and replug the unit. Over a 4-5 hour period of watching TV this will happen 2-3 times. Very annoying and perplexing. I will probably return this unit and purchase a different brand if I can’t find a solution.

Fantastic sound from such a tiny set up with a price you can’t beat
At this price point, there isn’t a sound set up with Dolby Atmos support that will beat this system. Set up was easy, a bit tricky to get the app synced. Had to use my ipad first then finally my phone connected. Whether you use bluetooth for music or Hdmi Arc from the TV for surrounds sound, both bring crisp excellent sound. I was pretty blown away.

Movie theater sound, at home!
Setup yesterday and paired with a 75 inch Samsung. The sound is pretty amazing. Plenty loud and the surround effect is excellent. Huge step up over the built-in TV speakers. We watched a 3D Blu-ray (X-men Apocalypse) and had the volume fairly loud and the experience reminded me of the movie theater. Loud, crisp sound, booming bass, and full surround. Probably isn’t audiophile quality sound, and I wouldn’t expect it to be for the price, but it is very enjoyable, and the Dolby Atmos adds a little bit of height in sound in front of you.

Originally I bought this for $670 (CDN) and the price went down by $100, the company eventually honoured the price drop which was nice (this was after 5-6 messages going back and forth, they wanted me to return the product and buy it again for the lower price, eventually I got them to understand this was redundant. Now onto the actual product. I have a very large room (20×20) and this fills up that space with sound. The soundbar itself is great along with the sub (very full sound) and satellite speakers. I would recommend this product for the price point. I was going to go with a Samsung soundbar that was $500 and no ATMOS or sub, satellite speakers but I would definitely buy this again.I tried the Vizio app but it would not find the soundbar, it’s easier to setup without it and I have not touched it since. Setup honestly took me and my daughter about 10 minutes, my Sony TV picked it up right away (via eARC) and have had no issues.

Not only that you can’t keep the bluetooth connection for more then 2-3 seconds, but you al,ost have to be an I.T to keep it running. The volume goes beserk, it’s goes very very loud for no reason, then, go down , it’s goes by (volume) by increments of 2, then 10 then 6, just a nightmare for the people around.Of course after trying it for a week or two, the famous return begins. First you by it from Simple Works, but Stateside answered your message. It’s goes like this for a couple of weeks, to find out that it is Amazone that gives it to you. Here the kicker, they won’t give you a refund after 7 days after they receives the system, but they kindly tell you that it will take an extras month after they received it. You call Amazon and they will give you stupid answer like, well they have to open the boxes, looks at it, which can take 2-3 weeks. If you want my advice, go to the nearest store that sell better systems and not only they will give you tech support, but CUSTOMER SERVICE, then if you do not like it they will refund you no hassle.LIKE I SAID IF YOU WANT AFTER SALES SERVICE, TECH SUPPORT OR REFUND YOU WILL FIND IT AT YOUR LOCAL SOUND STORE
