Has good sensitivity and a timer!!!
These work great. Alzheimer person needed help coming into dark rooms and couldn’t keep up with a rechargeable light so added this to a bright lamp and set the timer to go off when she goes back out after two minutes. Doesn’t work with touch lamps. It needs an on off switch to leave on to work.

    Works well
Needed this for some overhead garage lights that were portable. Plugged this into the wall and the lights into it and it works great. I walk into the garage and the lights come on. There is a setting for how long to leave them on. Simple and works good

Great product to add motion detection to existing plug in Lights
This is a great simple way to add motion detection to an existing plug in light fixture! It as simple timer selections and you can mount the motion detector sensor on a wall, shelf even ceiling if in reach of the electrical outlet. I used it to turn on my Garage bench LED light so when I walk in to get something quickly for if I work there for some time, the lights come on, and go off automatically. I like that I can just open the door, the light comes on and I can throw recycling items into a can and see what I’m doing without turning on lights. I like this so much I’m adding on to my basement so it lights the stairs when I step in.

    Very Unreliable
There are a few things you should know about this motion sensor before you buy it.1. It does not have a light sensor so it will turn on the plugged in load day or night. So if you don’t want your lights to turn on with motion during the daytime when lights are not needed, this will not work for you. It will waste energy by turning on the lights automatically when lights are not needed2. It is very sensitive and turns on when there is no motion and can stay on way longer than the setting you selected (e.g. 1 minute). I installed one of these in my garage and one in a hallway coat closet. In each location there is a LED strip light connected to the motion sensor. In the garage, the LED strip turns on all day long even though there is no one in the garage. I observed the recorded videos from a garage camera and the light strip turns on at least once per 30 minute interval and then turns off several minutes later. It does this day and night when no one is in the garage. I tried installing the motion sensor in different locations on the garage wall from 2 feet from the ground to 6 feet from the ground. The height did not stop the light from turning on when no one was in the garage. I have several other motion sensors in the garage controlling other lights and they do not turn on unless someone is in the garage near the sensor. Again, I watched the behavior of this motion sensor on the recorded camera video for several days.3. The motion sensor I installed in the coat closet worked great at turning on the LED light when the door was opened and it detected a person. But when the door was closed with the motion sensor inside the closet it did not turn off the light at the specified time period. I set the turn off time to 1 minute and sometimes it would take 10 minutes to turn off the light. I suspect that because the LED light strip casted light on the motion sensor it interpreted the light as motion somehow. So I lowered the motion sensor to 2 feet off the ground and shielded it from the LED light strip. It then worked reliably. The motion sensors performed so poorly that I thought the first two I ordered were defective and exchanged them. The replacement motion sensors behaved exactly the same.

    Works fantastic but…
I use this outdoors in my carport. I have some LED lights that I plug into it, and a day night sensor (typically used for chicken light applications). The day night sensor only energizes this in the evenings. So when I drive my vehicle home, the lights come on in the carport automatically. I love the way you can remotely mount the sensor! It does a fantastic job, and works for a long time with no issues. But.If there’s a lightning storm in the area, there’s a good chance that this thing will overload. I don’t know what fails each time, but I’ve had three of these over the last 5 years. They are inexpensive, and I just chalk it up as a cost of using an indoor product outdoors. I wish they made a more durable version. I really love this product.

    Works as advertised.
Bought one for myself and one for my parents. I have mine set up in my bedroom when I walk in a corner lamp turns on. The sensor is on the floor and so far no false on’s if I’m sleeping in bed and the blankets moving around. (Good thing.) At my parents I have it set up at the bottom of a stair case when my stepdads goes downstairs to a dad basement to stoke the fireplace the lamp turns on. So far so good!

Great workable product, but some seem to quit after about a year
I have not found a better way of having a motion sensor controller work for lights. This is particularly helpful when we are gone and our indoor camera is monitoring everything. I have probably had at least 4 of these devices over the past couple of years. It seems that some work fine for about a year and then they quit working. It is too late to make a warranty claim so my option is just to order another one (or two). I also wish there was an actual way of contacting the actual seller/manufacturer – instead of having to go through Amazon Customer Service. So the bottom line is, I like the product – but it seems the manufacturer should be looking for ways to improve the longevity and quality of their product.
