Big value for a solid portable projector
XGIMI did a lot right with this winner! For $200 on sale, you get a portable projector with Google TV, Bluetooth speaker and ambient light. Just getting Google TV with Netflix was impossible on even $3,000 projectors about three years ago. Unlike many projectors costing below $400, this one even has stereo sound. Although the picture is on the dimmer side and the color gamut is restrained, focus is good across the whole picture. It seems to me that XGIMI got tired of watching the top-100-selling projectors on Amazon belong to off-brand companies and decided to step in and give customers the option of having a better experience. It’s a smart move as it will invite owners to stick around in the projector world and invest in better models over time.XGIMI is clearly targeting a college-age demographic with this entry-level projector, but many more might benefit from this handy device. Anyone wanting to view recipe videos in their kitchens or wanting a 100-inch picture for movie night indoors or outdoors or even to point videos onto their ceilings before dozing off would dig the Vibe One.I own the Vibe One’s big brother, a Mogo 4 Laser projector, and have Valerion and Hisense projectors. I am leveraging the Vibe One purely to paint my walls with cozy fireplace winter scenes in the cold months, and I know I’ll pop on African safaris and their big cats plus underwater videos in the warmer months. These kinds of videos do wonders to brighten your day, especially if you work from home. Tip: Run them at 480p so you don’t wreck your bandwidth. One major con is the lack of a USB-C input for charging. If this is a mobile-friendly projector, then one would benefit from being able to charge using a power brick on the go. Another con is the XGIMI Wall app on this model. Options are very limited (just a few paintings) compared with what’s available on the Mogo 4 Laser. If you’re expecting a super-bright and super-colorful picture from a $269 MSRP ultra-portable projector, your expectations are out of line with what’s possible in 2025. If you’re wanting a lightweight projector that you can easily move around from room to room with an easy-to-use operating system, this is what you’ll get to enjoy with a Vibe One. Also, understand that displaying videos at about 80 inches is really the sweet spot, as the light, color and focus along with brightness and focus uniformity degrade beyond this point. You’ll also get the best results if you point directly onto a wall or screen, as shooting it off from a side would lead to brightness and focus disparities. In the next iteration, I’d love to see the brightness shoot up to 350 ISO lumens, the color gamut to expand and for the handle to be moveable slightly from the base (or be completely removable) to enable direct-at-ceiling placement (straight line—180 degrees) so that no keystone is needed for watching on a ceiling, with the projector placed on a table behind a bed. The ultimate scenario would be for 360-degree rotation like on the Mogo 4 series projectors.I think XGIMI is making some of the most-exciting projectors right now. It has the most-complete lineup, serving beginners to full-fledged 4K-glory enthusiasts. Just bring the adjustable optical zoom (down to 0.9 or lower) for your lineup soon to compete.

Decent portable projector but could use a few more lumens
I already own a high end XGIMI projector and when I saw this significantly cheaper portable projector, I decided to get it for another smaller room. And the XGIMI did not disappoint but it does have a few caveats. Setting up the software for Google TV and its configuration was straight forward even though I use an iPhone. But familiarity with setting up my prior XGIMI did help. Setting up the projector settings and getting it to project an acceptable picture was quick too. Somewhat of a downside was the lack of lumens. I had to turn off all lights and even some ambient lighting so that the picture doesn’t look washed. To be fair, I was putting it to a difficult test with its listed maximum projection size of 120 inches. A smaller picture should be significantly brighter. The auto keystone correction worked well but the focusing was not really automatic. I had to use the manual focusing system to get the picture to focus. However, on turning it off and on it again makes it lose the focus a bit and I had to manually focus it again every time. The manual focusing is easy and quick but looks like something that needs to be done regularly which can be a detractor for its otherwise very good performance in a smaller sized dark room. The other slight shortcoming is the remote which has no backlight making it impossible to see anything on it in a dark room which is a necessity due to the low lumens of the projector. Has to use the phone flashlight to look at the remote and identify the buttons. The button placement is somewhat intuitive but will still require remembering their positions and functions for using them in a dark room or dark outdoors without fumbling for the phone flashlight every time.Overall, the XGIMI Vibe projector is extremely easy to setup and use. It is great for a smaller sized room that can be rendered completely darkThe software apps all work well and are easy to use and configure. Overall. I can certainly recommend the Projector for smaller sized rooms.

Solid entry level projector
Here’s a condensed, human-sounding three-paragraph review that keeps things balanced:The XGIMI Vibe One Mini is one of those gadgets that just makes life easier. Setup is almost instant — autofocus and auto-keystone mean you basically point it at a wall and start watching. The built-in Google TV and proper Netflix support are huge perks, so you don’t have to mess with extra streaming devices. For something this small and portable, the 1080p picture looks surprisingly sharp in a dim room, and the little JBL-tuned speakers are perfectly fine for casual watching. That said, this is definitely a “cozy movie night” kind of projector rather than a home-theater powerhouse. The brightness is limited, so it really needs a dark environment to look its best, and the battery life is just long enough for an episode or a short movie. If you’re planning longer viewing sessions, you’ll probably end up plugging it in. The sound is decent for bedrooms or dorms, but it won’t fill a big space, so an external speaker might still be useful.Overall, the Vibe One Mini hits a sweet spot for people who want simple, portable, grab-and-go entertainment. It’s ideal for streaming shows in bed, projecting a movie on the ceiling, or having an easy backyard setup at night. As long as you understand its limitations — mainly brightness and battery life — it’s a fun, practical mini projector that delivers more convenience and quality than you’d expect at its size.

I was sceptical about its ISO 250 Lumens rating, as I was using a projector with twice the rating (500 ISO), and my experience was not so good with the brightness and colour reproduction. This small friend with 250 lumens produces crisp and bright enough projection to view in dim light to dark room. This projector is not for sure to use in bright day light.sharpness and colour reproductions are good, sound is loud enough and clear for a medium size room, for cinema sound experience one can connect external speakers. the OS is smooth with an access to all the apps required.projector is effecient to adjust auto focus and auto keystone without any hassles. it takes 10 min to set up google TV initially, once that is done it works instantly without any delays.overall a good option in entry level segment. much better than all Chinese projectors in 10-20K range with tall claims.

Works only when the room is dark. Otherwise the brightness is not enough. It’s noisy when in high brightness mode. Otherwise picture quality is great and smooth.Brightness could be higher. But again for this price it’s good.
