Great value!
I’ve had three of these running 24/7 as a home media server for several months now and they have worked excellent so far. You never know what to expect with renewed stuff but I am extremely satisfied. Now, as each drive fails over time I’ll be able to replace them with new, more expensive drives, over time rather that having to purchase those all at once.

6mo lifespan
Would be 0 if I could, bought the 14 TB and it died exactly 5 months later. Has SMART errors and lost data. Don’t recommend this brand of NAS HDD
Danger –
Damaged product
Ordered one that came with damaged sata pins. The replacement for that drive also came damaged. Neither worked showing they are not performing any qa for these products.

These are used data center drives. Know what you are buying
There are only 3 companies in the world making Harddrives in 2025. Western Digital, Seagate and Toshiba. This is a used drive made by one of the 3 companies from a data center with a “basicnology” label slapped on it. It is not “renewed” there is no way to “renew” or economically refurbish a harddrive.Unless you are running RAID and want to deal with returns you shouldnt be buying this drive. There is a whole industry for used data center drives but those resellers usually have generous return policies and warranties because they are selling a used product.
