It does what we need it to.
We have been using this for a few months now and it works great. It replaced another Black and Decker toaster oven that was ten years old.The toaster oven gets hot enough to reheat things or bake a small frozen pizza or other appetizer sized dish. It makes fine toast or toasted bagels. The broil function melts cheese on bread for a nice sandwich.The air fry function is just OK. It has not replaced our air fryer. The air fry function does not allow temperature setting and it doesn’t seem to move enough air to crisp things up as well as a dedicated air fryer. I have used it successfully for frozen fried shrimp. It does not do as well with french fries from frozen or from oiled potatoes.

ORIGINAL REVIEW, OCT 2025:So far this little oven is doing great. Right now it’s 4 stars but has the potential to change as I use it more often, right now I’ve only used it a handful of times.Heats up quickly so there’s no growing old while waiting for preheating, a definite plus. The air fry option is super quiet, way more quiet than any air fryer I’ve ever had. Downside is there is no way to adjust temp for this setting so you really have to keep an eye on the food to see when it’s done.DO NOT USE PARCHMENT PAPER IN THIS OVEN! I made that mistake because I use it in my regular full size oven as well as my old air fryer, but it’s not compatible with this oven! I almost started a fire! Good thing I didn’t walk away from it.I like that there’s a timer feature so it will shut off, very helpful in times you are in the middle of something else at the same time and this avoids your food getting burnt. There’s also a stay on feature in case you prefer that. For the timer you have to make sure you pass the 10 minute mark and then set it to the time you want.The oven is smaller than I expected. I don’t know yet if a pizza will actually fit, I’ll update when I attempt it. I’ve only made English muffin pizzas and French bread pizzas so far.One thing I really like about this oven is that it tends to cook food evenly. I’ve had toaster ovens that cook more on one side than the other and more on top than the bottom and it’s frustrating! The stuff I’ve made in this oven were nice and crispy both on top and the bottom and it’s so nice to not have pizza that’s burnt on top and mushy on the bottom! I’m glad finally a manufacturer figured this out.This toasts really nice too. Watch the time with this. My bread got toasted way faster than with my old one!Overall I’m happy with this. I’ll update as necessary.

Basic. Simple. Works.
I’ve been wanting a toaster oven for simple stuff, like warming up frozen rolls, broiling an open faced sandwich, etc. Nothing fancy. Not looking to roast a chicken, bake a cake, etc. Just something for when a microwave won’t do (you need crispy) and you don’t want to heat up the whole kitchen by firing up a big oven (especially during the summer in Florida). This little appliance does the trick. Heats up instantly, no pre-heating. Melts the cheese on an open faced sandwich in just a couple of minutes. Has a crumb tray for easy clean up. The controls are super basic. I mostly use the toaster timer, which makes a hilariously retro ticking sound (apparently it uses an old-fashioned mechanical timer), and just watch through the glass window to see when things are done, since cook time is usually just a couple of minutes for what I’m doing. No digital displays or controls. Really basic. Which also means really inexpensive. Controls weren’t immediately intuitive, but by “immediate” I mean that it took me all of a minute or two to figure out how to make the toaster oven do what I wanted. Simple. I already have a full-size oven for serious baking, so I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars and take up a lot of counter space for a fancy appliance. This simple, small, inexpensive toaster oven is just what I needed — basically a horizontal, enclosed toaster, just like I remember from the good ‘ol days.

I would highly recommend this product, it cooks frozen French Fries 🍟 very well. I will be using it for holiday cooking, there are only 2 of us in the household, so I don’t have to use the big oven as much.

I got this on Sunday and I have to say so far it is awesome! I have only used the bake function so far but it is nice to set it and go about getting stuff done and when the timer goes off my food is ready to eat! I live alone so preheating my oven is a pain and oftentimes not worth it to cook something but this oven is perfect! Heats up quickly. I’m looking forward to trying the air fryer!

Use with caution around children
I recently bought this Black + Decker toaster oven to replace my old one that finally died. I like the clean look and the fact that it is simple easy to use. I also like that it has multiple settings including the air fry setting and it toasts fairly evenly for a toaster oven. However there are a few things that I don’t like about it. First the glass door and the outside of the unit can get very hot and you can burn yourself if you are not careful. Burning yourself is even easier when you add the fact that the rack doesn’t pull out at all when you open the door so you have to actually pull the rack out yourself. All in all it’s not a bad toaster oven but the designer could have put a little more thought into the design. So if you have children that might be using or around when it is in use please be careful and watch that they don’t get burnt.

I like it.I wanted just a toaster as I’m glad I purchased this as it does have more benefits. It fits in smal spaces. It’s great for 1 person. I do have a large air fryer in my new stove but this one is great for small stuff like French fries and pizza and toast.

I bought this one because I had a Black and Decker toaster over before I had it for 25 years and used it a lot with no problems. I also liked the compact size. The only problem is that this one does get quite hot on the outside when in use which is why i gave it a 4 star rating. If this last 35 years like the old one I will be more than pleased.

So far have only made toast. Getting use to the dial that is different from my previous toaster oven. Little smaller than my previous one, but this will work out fine. Looking forward to using the air fryer feature.

I like this appliance because it is smaller than the previous one but still all that I need. It toasts both top and bottom of scones and bread, but takes some getting used to to adjust the length of the toast.
