WORKS WITH RM4 MINI AND RM4 PRO – BroadLink HTS2 Sensor Accessory integrates the functions of temperature and humidity sensor and USB power cable. Connect it to the RM4 mini and USB adapter just like an ordinary USB cable, at the control panel of RM4 mini in BroadLink app, it will display temperature and humidity of the room where the sensor located. Note: It only supports BroadLink RM4 mini and RM4 Pro universal remote, it doesn’t support BroadLink RM mini3, RM Pro+ or BestCon RM4C mini.
TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY SENSOR – This sensor is very special, unlike traditional ones, it is integrated in a USB cable, very small and lovely, you will not even notice its existence if you don’t pay attention to look at it. But it actually helps you to detect the accurate indoor temperature and humidity, and display on your phone, so that you can know the indoor environment anytime and anywhere.
VERY EASY TO USE – If you have already configured your RM4 mini successfully in the BroadLink app with its own USB cable, just replace the cable with this HTS2 sensor cable, the app will display the temperature and humidity number automatically. If this is the first time you set up the RM4 mini, just connect the sensor cable between the RM4 mini and power adapter, then do the smart configuration for RM4 mini follow the wizard in the app.
FEATURES – It supports to display temperature and humidity number in the APP. It can realize some linkage functions with remote like triggering to control AC automatically when the temperature rises.
TECH SUPPORT – One-Year Warranty, 24/7 Technical Support. Video Guide are available on our Amazon Brand Store page and YouTube. Find our Global Hotline on product manual. Now you can get help and make feedback directly through BroadLink Community in the App.

Great for making devices “smart” and Google Assistant voice command integration” (e.g. “activate watch TV”). Since Google routines can have multiple actions, this will be great to be able to have google assistant voice commands control not just BL but other devices on one command. Just need to be careful that your BL scenes aren’t named the same as generic Google Assistant command (e.g. turn on the lights) or else Google gets confused. The ability to control devices directly from within the Google Home app is limited to certain device types and basic commands (power on/off, etc), but this wasn’t important to me (I cared about voice, and I can use the BL app for everything else).Overall- simple install and easy IR/RF remote “learning” capabilities- works great for Google Assistant voice commands for your not-smart IR and RF devices, particularly if your desired voice commands are all focused on your BL-enabled devicesSuggestions- more standard device types (e.g. “receiver” wasn’t a listed type which means I had to create a custom type which then isn’t available in Google Home app, though still works fine for voice commands)- more options available to control devices directly from within Google Home app (not just voice/assistant)- better suggested remotes to reduce having to “learn” them all manually-support more RF frequencies (only the 2 which seem most common are supported so check your devices before buying)
Overall pleasantly surprised, especially with all of the negative reviews online. Broadlink (BL) recently provided a firmware update so perhaps that explains the improvements.Setup was very simple – download the BL app and follow the in-app directions. It’ll ask for your phone to be connected to a 2.4Mhz channel of your router – I have Google Wifi which, like many other newer routers, will automatically assign the proper channel to each device, so I ignored the warnings and my phone (on 5Mhz channel) sent the wifi info to BL which then connected to the proper 2.4Mhz channel automatically – no issues. I also then reserved the IP address that my router assigned to BL – not sure if this is required but saw it suggested on another forum.Adding IR/RF remotes was fine – selecting the known brands (e.g. TV > Sony) didn’t seem to work for any of my devices so I just used the “learning” capabilities where BL learns the remote codes from each of my remotes which worked flawlessly just takes a few mins to learn all the devices and buttons I wanted. For RF devices (if you dont need RF then get the non-pro version) I didn’t know the exact 433.XX frequency but the “auto-detect” feature worked great, then similarly just “learned” my RF buttons from the remote. Once the remotes were all set up, BL “scenes” were also very simple to create allowing me to string together commands across my devices (e.g. I created a “Watch TV” scene which turns on my TV, sets the proper input on my receiver, etc) and can set timing delays between commands if necessary. The best feature (and the reason I bought this) was Google Assistant integration. Once you link your BL account from within the Google Home app, all of the BL scenes you create become available for voice command (e.g. “Hey Google, activate Watch TV”). I created a “Volume Way Up” BL scene that would increase the volume in increments of 5 to avoid having to say the volume command over and over.Another feature I found super helpful is that you can also create Google routines to run a BL scene. Just type out the Google routine’s “action” to say “activate

My savior
It has been so good. In the beginning I was confused how to add the rest of remotes but after I figured out it has been the most wonderful thing in my house. It worked with my window blinds very well and sadly didn’t work with my ceiling fans. But I’m happy anyway

Poor app compatibility
I am going to upgrade this because at least part of the problem was Android and part was due to the product spec. Also, I got it working finally, so that makes me a little happier. This product did not work with Android Go. Android Go appears to be a problematic release that looks like it is part of the general set of Android versions, but isn’t. But according to some, it is a stripped down version.I bought yet another Android device and that worked fine. The company is partly to blame in that the versions it supports were not better identified and/or may have been wrong at the older end of the release spectrum. I found an app that tells you exactly what range of versions and app support. According to that, the low end of the product did not reach the older device I had (4.x forgot which just now). This appears to be contrary to the indications given by the supplier. The range of lower to upper versions includes the problematic Go version. As far as I can tell by comments and experience Amazon Go should be avoided no matter what.—–OLDERSetting this thing up was confusing at best. The basic idea is that you send your home Wifi Password to the device so that it can log in to your wifi. OK, but not well explained. Trying to figure out which wifi and which password belongs where is hit and miss. What you are supposed to do at each stage is unclear. My additional issue was that he router’s client isolation needed to be turned off to allow the two parts to talk to each other.Having managed to eventually get through that, it did work. I got some devices under control. So far so good. It could be a useful device. However…I wanted to get it to run on a tablet rather than the phone. It doesn’t seem that any of the variants of the software work properly on tablets. The latest version won’t even show up in the play store for recent versions of Android, yet the software claims it works from 4.0 upwards. The older versions do show up as compatible, but they either crash immediately, or fail to connect. The latter may be due to the different naming of the device between versions. It is not clear. I have tried different versions of the software on both old and brand new tablets without success.Perhaps the latest version should, in theory, work on more recent versions of Android. The app seems pretty generic with the real work being done by the device. The lack of compatibility with versions of Android seems odd, especially considering their claim to work on anything above 4.0.

Universal Remote for TV and Fan
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I set up this universal remote in my living room to control a bunch of things that use IR and RF remotes, like the TV, ceiling fan, and an old stereo. The device itself is small, so it fits easy behind the TV. The first step was connecting it to my Wi-Fi, and I had to make sure my phone was on the 2.4 GHz network. The app walked me through the steps and it didn’t take too long. For my TV and fan, I tried the preset brands first, but they didn’t match, so I used the learning mode. I just pointed my regular remote at the device, pressed the button, and the remote copied the command. I did this for the buttons I use the most.It also works with my smart speakers. I made a few voice commands, so now I just say what I want, and the TV turns on or the fan starts. The app lets me put all my devices together, and I can set up different scenes, like turning everything off when I go to bed. I still keep my old remotes in a drawer just in case, but I haven’t needed them much. This makes my setup less cluttered.

Model: Broadlink RM4 MiniBought this to replace the function of a remote control. This review is based on the product being used just as a remote control via the App on the phone.(for smart home functions please look at other reviews)For those wondering this is a little USB powered device which works as following: Phone>App>WiFi>Broadlink>Air conditioner. When on sale for $29.99 this is fantastic value. The box it came in was smaller than expected, the entire product was smaller than I thought but I guess it only needs space for just a WiFi antenna and a IR transmitter.Product includes a decently long flat USB cable which is good quality. NO USB power adapter is included, I just use a 5V 1amp Apple USB phone charger and it works fine.It was quite simple to setup following the instructions.Had to go through a process of holding down the reset button on the product for a specific length of time with a toothpick to put the Broadlink RM4 Mini into the correct mode. All of this was quite simple as you go back and forth between the App instructions and included printed instructions.Once up and running it was a easy process to add the Samsung Air Conditioner to the remote App.There were 3 most common options and you can test each before proceeding. AC fully functioned with the 1st option.I set it up across the room initially, but had issues sometimes when you stand between the Broadlink and the AC unit blocking the IR signal. After I moved the Broadlink to below the AC unit on a cabinet and now it works all the time. Also remember to remove the clear plastic which is on the unit as it can also cause issues with the IR signal.App is simple and easy to use. Open the App then tap on the Airconditioner. All the functions are there, more functions are hidden in the “more” section but the most commonly used settings are on the first page and easy to access. It works flawlessly and there is absolutely no delay between tapping the touch screen on your phone and the Airconditioner responding.Works just as well as the original Samsung remote, and even better since you don’t have to point the phone at the AC. It is connected with WiFi so it even works from the next room.Very satisfied with the product. It is small, simple in design and just works.I have read some other reviews saying the process of adding it to a Smart Assistant is a bit more complicated, but I have no experience in that part of the setup. As a simple device which turns your Phone into a AC Remote this product is great.USB powered so consumes very little energy, and probably cheaper in cost than a replacement remote for a Airconditioner. Also never have to worry about changing flat remote batteries thanks to USB power.Extra info: The “Mini” model is IR (Infra-red) only. The “Pro” model is IR and RF (Radio Frequency).RM3 is the older model, and RM4 is the newer model.I think all models have a alternate version which includes a “Temperature & Humidity sensor”. This alternate version may be preferred by some for automatic “Smart Home” function. Our Airconditioner used IR remote so we only needed the “Mini” model. You can tell if your remote is IR by the LED on the top of the remote. If you block the LED with your finger and try turning the AC on the remote should not work.

Works perfect for 12v diesel heater control. I paired it with the key fob on my Vevor diesel heater and so now I can start the heater from my phone and it begins to warm up from anywhere I have Wifi. Very easy to use.
