simple-does a quick, painless job of printing, nothing fancy.
for an inexpensive printer, it was simple to set-up, but i cannot figure out why it always has a blank sheet when printing anything, from 1 page to multiple. it always cycles out a single page at the end. it was a quick buy to replace the printer and get it up and running fast. had a little trouble with the wireless set-up, but got it. used a cartridge of black ink already, told you it was purchase that was needed to be up and running fast.

Worst printer yet
These small Canon printers are getting progressively worse in function. With this one, after we set it up for the first computer in our home, it worked fine until we tried to set up a second. Then the first computer could no longer communicate with it. Turns out there’s some complicated procedure for getting a second computer hooked up by Wifi. Same issue with scanning. The software included in the original setup doesn’t allow scanning–you have to jump through more hoops to get that set up. I’m not a techie and it was over my head, so I now have no scanner, a function I do need. We had problems with the previous Canon, but not this bad. This will be my last cheap Canon. They used to be a reliable, inexpensive printer, but apparently no more.

Great little printer at a low price. I needed a new printer for my Chromebook plus as my old HP Officejet 6700 was not allowing me to print. Setup took 5-7 minutes and it wirelessly connected to both my Pixel 8 cell and Chromebook with great ease. The QR code in the setup sheet takes you to all of the correct software and connects to your at home network. It was a breeze. . I will not use this for colour printing nor any significant printing on a daily basis. I just need the occasional receipt to print or other miscellaneous item. It is perfect for this use. I bought an extra black print cartridge as the starter one is limited. It seems to meet all my criteria for small at home printing.

I received the printer a few days ago, and had trouble getting it to connect to either my phone or PC. After struggling for a while I realized that the printer was flashing an error code. I looked it up and found it was saying the ink cover wasn’t closed. On closer inspection I saw that the locking tab for that cover was broken, thus making the printer unusable.I contacted Amazon and they arranged for a replacement to be delivered which arrived in two days, I will ship back the broken one, pre-paid shipping.So last night I set up the new printer and I will say it was not easy.The QR code included in the box took me to an online instruction page. There was a link to click to connect the printer to either a phone or a PC. I clicked it, and the only option it gave was to connect to a phone. I thought maybe that’s required before the PC connection so did wat it said… installed the Canon Print app and followed the directions.Sounds easy, except it didn’t work… went through many steps, lots of waiting, lots of various indecipherable flashing icons on the printer, the phone app still telling me the setup failed, click HERE to try something different, which had us press and hold a button on the printer and try again, did nothing, failed again, click HERE to try something else, took us through the same procedures we’d already done, etc.As I was scratching my head and getting frustrated, my wife decided to just check if the printer would magically show up as available from the PC. Weirdly, it was. A test print was done, worked perfectly. Then as soon as she printed from the PC, all the sudden the Printer showed as also connected via the phone app.We tried a few more test prints from both PC and phone and it works well. Prints pretty quickly, quality seems good.Long story short, it seems a reasonably capable printer, but the setup stinks and it very unintuitive. IT presents itself as being simple, but when it doesn’t quite work, like in our case, it doesn’t help, just has you retry the same things.

Works for android phone!!It didnt connect at first and had trouble printing things but once I went through turning off and turning on the devices as the troubleshooting suggested. It connected! Almost returned the item, but sure glad i didnt!
