it operates as it should & no issues so far
I’ve had a multitude of different coffee makers, both pods and beans. The last one I had was a Tishcibo and I have to say it was the worst one I’ve ever encountered. It was very complicated if you wanted to get a quick cup of coffee, this one is very simple, very straightforward and it makes a great cup of coffee. It also was highly sensitive and things had to be just perfect or it wouldn’t work and it was most annoying. I don’t find that at all with this machine. It’s very straightforward and simple.it tends to be a quiet machine with the exception of the grinding, which I can’t complain about it all that’s a 15 second process. There are no coffee ground deposits in my cup. They do fly around when the grinding process is ongoing however, they give you a brush to make sure the pod that is holding the ground. The top is clean and you insert it clean and the coffee comes out ground free. There are some grounds that accumulated at the bottom but seriously over the course of several weeks it amounts to less than anyone needs to worry aboutI hope the salad workings of this machine continues. That’s why I went to a Cuisinart. I like the fact that you can grind your own beans and add a pod if you choose or guest chooses.

    Great product
This product makes a great cup of coffee. I read reviews of other customers and they kept saying how messy this coffee grinder and coffee maker is. There is some coffee grounds after you have grinded fresh beans. Its all caught on the trey at the bottom. Wait for a few cups to be made before cleaning up the small mess of coffee grounds. For you OCD people clean as you go. It literally takes a few seconds to dump and wipe the grounds off. It’s like saying you will never cook in your kitchen again because the mess that was made on the stove. The only legitimate concern was people who want to change fresh beans ever few cups. There isn’t an easy way to change out fresh beans. Maybe they could put a small door at the bottom side and you could raise it to let gravity empty the bean chamber. I say just don’t put very many coffee beans in when you make a cup and see the amount you need to satisfy your preference in flavor/strength. I am very happy with my purchase. For the tearing of the k-cup pods, its because you haven’t lined up the white arrows on the plastic k-cup holder provided. This is the black plastic holder you remove to put the grey plastic fresh ground coffee into. When you place the grey holder for fresh ground beans make sure you have the lid open to receive the fresh ground coffee. The machine is smart enough to not continue grinding if the lid is closed not allowing the fresh grounds to enter the capsule and you will have hardly any grounds enter your grey capsule. Someone had mentioned reading the directions. This is a great grinder/coffee maker.

Makes a good cup, easy to use, but…
It’s a good single cup coffee maker, with some flaws… To be transparent around my rating, I bought two of these, so the flaws were not enough to keep me from buying another one when it dialed, but it did fail after a year and some months of moderate to heavy use (5-6 cups a day) The Bean hopper is large enough for several good cups of coffee.  If I had to be critical, I wish the container side raised up a touch over the motor hub, as there’s competition for space as you fill beans.  The motor takes up 50% of the space, so beans bounce off it like it’s their last shot at freedom. The first device would always make a sound like it’s got a pump running quietly.  After a while, all the lights would blink and needed to be unplugged. Coffee cup size would at some point become inconsistent…  Eventually, this would be the startup ritual… until something inside finally gave up and I work to water all over the counter and the coffee maker inoperable. After replacing it, it’s back to the well functioning single cup I’ve enjoyed.  We will see if this is a chronic issue or just a single worn out unit and update from there. Other than those flaws, it’s a really good sing cup maker with an integrated grinder!Coffee temperature:Not quite boiling hot, you can get to drinking immediately Durability:Ish.  First one lasted a bit over a year. Taste:Makes a good cup.  Your beans will come through. Size:It’s compact and easily desk worthy.  Fits any countertop.

    Nice features, doesn’t measure up
Had the machine since the end of Sept. While it can make a nice fresh ground coffee at times, its inconsistent. The pod function is ok, though the coffee for whatever reason isn’t strong.Initially thought to have been user error, even if instructions are followed to the T from the user manual, its no guarantee if it’ll make the same strength coffee. -1starThe grinder. This thing drives us up the wall as it over grinds or just doesn’t dispense and makes a huge mess if we let it auto grind. Disappointing to say the least. -1starFew tweaks and this machine would be great for single serve kpod option with the fresh grind. But for us, we will be seeking another machine.

    Works perfectly!!
I was uneasy buying this because of the stories about the terrible messes this coffee maker makes. When it arrived I set it up and made a cup just to make sure it works. It made a terrible mess, just as the reviews had said: coffee grounds spewing all over, water going all over the counter. THEN, I read the directions. I had tried to grind the beans with the lid of the pod closed. Of course the coffee grounds went everywhere. I hadn’t lined the cup up in the dispenser and the water leaked. So I tried again, making these adjustments, and it worked perfectly.I love this thing! The coffee pod holds more coffee than my Keurig, and so it comes out stronger, just like I prefer. It’s hotter, so I don’t have to nuke it before I add cream. Can’t say enough good things about this thing! Buy it, but read the directions.
