Nice addition to my smart home setup
These work— Matter setup was easy and works well. They are set up directly in the Alexa app!I’m not a huge fan of Cync smart home products, especially their lightbulbs (I prefer Kasa and Philips Hue). But I have a couple older Cync bulbs that are not wifi-enabled (or something?) and don’t play nice with my Alexa. I read that if you add a wifi-enabled Cync product (like these plugs) to your smart home setup, it somehow fixes the issues with the older bulbs and makes them work properly with everything. And lo and behold, once I set up these plugs, my older Cync bulbs were communicating perfectly with Alexa! Those older lightbulbs still had to be set up in the GE Cync app. But I did NOT set up these newer plugs with the Cync app — I set them up using Matter (the instructions walk you through this). For Matter setup, you need a little QR code that’s on a sticker on each plug. In case I ever need to set them up again, I’m trying to hang onto the stickers by leaving them stuck on each plug. But if you lose any of them, the QR code is also printed really small on the back of each plug. The stickers are just more convenient.

Smart plugs are super handy!
I use these smart plugs for all sorts of things! During the holidays I kept my Christmas tree plugged into one so I could keep it on a timer. These are easily interfaced with Alexa and controlled through the app. I like being able to use them with my lamps that don’t have smart bulbs to turn them off and on and keep some on a consistent routine. The price point was fair and I have no complaints about these.

Super Product
Great product replacing my wemo system since they are no longer supporting their product. These were significantly easier to set up & their support is outstanding!

Pretty Good Smart Plug
They usually work fine, but they will sometimes randomly not work at scheduled times with my google nest. It only happens about once a month though so I’m not too unhappy!

A good way to control power to any devices
I have a few of these. They work well with Google Home. I use them to run my fans on a schedule during the summer and to control my Christmas lights on a schedule during the holidays. I also use them to control some lights based on dusk & time when I’m out of town.

Misleading Product That Wastes Time and Sanity
Unless you want to gamble with your time and sanity, stay far, far away.I purchased this so-called “Cync Smart Plug with Built-In Bridge” expecting it to function as described: a plug that acts as a hub for Bluetooth Cync devices. What I got instead was a basic Wi-Fi outlet, deceptively labeled with tech-babble like “built-in bridge” that does absolutely nothing to support other Cync devices.Let me be crystal clear: this plug is not a hub, not a bridge, and not remotely useful beyond turning itself on and off. It cannot connect Bluetooth bulbs, does not offer a “hub” setup in the app, and absolutely refuses to serve the function it was clearly advertised for.I spent HOURS resetting devices, deleting and reinstalling the app, isolating connections, even enabling airplane mode to trick it into behaving like a real hub. Nothing worked — because this isn’t a hub. It’s a glorified remote outlet wearing a sticker that says “bridge” like a toddler in a Halloween costume. And the support documentation? Useless. The app? Clueless. Cync has created a maze of lookalike products, inconsistent naming, and vague descriptions that make it nearly impossible to know what you’re buying.

Good choice for lamp timers…
These Cync plug modules work very well… Program on phone took some time to get familiar but works great.

Handy but kinda chunky
These are great for my Christmas lights I have hanging around my apartment. They are pretty chunky so I did have to put one on a power strip instead of directly on the wall outlet due to space but it seems to be working just fine.
