A Thumbs Up!
This is the second unit that I have bought. The first was about 4 years ago probably when eufy first brought it out. I was pleased with it then and am still. The device has proven to be completely reliable. I decided to alarm the my outside garage door which is used by service personnel on a regular basis.Mounting the two pieces was easy using the applied sticky pads. The sensor/transmitter per the instructions can be attached with screws. The two pieces can be installed on any standard and patio doors. The audio alert can be heard throughout my house as the volume and signal can be set in the app. The eufy home base and app allows me to receive notices on my phone when away. The sensor/transmitter uses a not so common battery that is said to last 8 months. I’ve changed the battery in my original unit once in 4 years.I’ve installed another manufacturer’s door and window sensors in another house. The unit is much smaller and uses 2032 batteries that in my experience don’t seem to last as long as the eufy battery. On a door the eufy size is not a problem.I can recommend it as I just bought my third unit.

Best Entry Sensor and system!
Every product from Eufy I have purchased has been well worth it!!! Highly recommend! With getting these although it is a very simple product the app allows for highly customizable situations. Take for example the night/sleep mode you can customize it to set an alarm if a door is opened after a certain time and they are supposed to be super loud (or I guess you could have the homebase setoff). Haven’t attempted this setting yet with my neighbors… Overall fantastic product! I will say I am interested on how much the batteries cost that go inside these as they are very specific. Would buy and recommend to anyone in the Eufy ecosystem!!

Unimpressed at first. But stay tuned!
Lots of potential. Hardware is very well designed. Software feels like it’s still under development. We’ve recently purchased many eufy security products. These sensors pair easily to my eufy homebase 2 and read the door’s open-close status reliability. However, Because of the software, they seem pretty useless.Right now, I can “arm” my eufy security system and an alarm will sound when the door is opened. That’s good. But the app requires many taps to arm/disarm the system and there’s currently no integration with other systems like HomeKit or August.I expect one big button to arm/disarm all my smart home security devices.Adding integrations to arm/disarm the system or Siri Shortcuts would be a big improvement!Additionally, the sensor has no chime feature with the homebase making it useless unless the system is “Armed”. It would be very useful to hear a pleasant chime from the homebase or the eufy video doorbell chime when my young kids open the door unsupervised.Ultimately, it’s a neat add-on to my eufy cameras, but features seem a bit raw or missing. I’m hopeful eufy will continue development.Update: Anker emailed me about my review and apologized for the experience. As part of the apology they sent a cool little battery bank. I’m glad they care and are paying attention. I hope this means they’re adding my requested software changes. Unfortunately for Anker, my review doesn’t change until they change how this product integrates with the rest of the system.More updates: Anker/eufy has continued to pursue total satisfaction. I must say I’m impressed. If they’re product development work’s nearly as hard as their customer service, they’ll be adding my requested changes in no time. Along with this update I must mention an announcement by eufy at CES 2020. Eufy is releasing a new keypad with home/away buttons thereby satisfying one of my major complaints with this system as an alarm. I am increasing my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars out of optimism for future updates as well as outstanding customer service.Update 7/8/2020The requested door chime feature has been added. Now a pleasant chime is made by the hombase2 when a door is opened. They still lack in integration even among their own products. If I arm the alarm system, (camera, motion, and door sensors paired to the homebase2) other devices like the floodlight cam outside are unaffected and do not switch into an “away” mode without additional action in the app.

Reliable and easy to install
Love these camera – very reliable with great picture. Weatherproofing could be better but all in all good value. You can purchase a weatherproof sleeve but gave four stars because I don’t feel like you should need to do this for a camera sold as an outdoor camera

Keep your teen safe and set them up with a loud notification
After discovering some creep who tried digging his claws into my teen daughter, I installed these at every door to prevent him from conning her into sneaking out or letting him sneak again. These worked like a charm.

Works within Eufy ecosystem, not Alexa compatible
Want to have your lights automatically turn on when you open the door as you come home at night? Forget it. At least with Alexa and this product. These entry sensors seem to work really well within the Eufy ecosystem. They’re easy to install and to connect to the homebase. However, at the time I purchased them the Eufy website listed them as compatible with Alexa. Alexa does recognize them and can read the status of the sensor, but for some unknown reason they do not work in routines. In other words, you can’t actually use the door status within Alexa to do anything useful. After a few back and forths with Eufy customer service they acknowledged this limitation. What really disappoints me is the misleading information on the Eufy website that suggests a working compatibility.

An all-round great product, set up was easy, and they are super reliable. I just took them out of the box, loaded the included batteries into them, and placed them on my door and door trim, and it worked like a charm. The adhesive strip on the back of them allows you to readjust the sensor and magnet a few times without losing any strength, so you can find the best spot to place them, making sure the gap between them is less than 4cm. When testing, I armed the security system and opened the door as if I were an intruder, and the alarms started blaring instantly. I also got a notification on my phone as soon as it happened. No regrets adding this to my security system

I used it on my garage door. Works good. A little Rain seem like no problem. Not sure how it will hold up in the Winter.
