I use Globe smart plugs and prefer them over others.
I have a house full of these globe smart plugs and along with the app they work very well. The app that works with these types of smart plugs should be part of the decision making process. You will need a good app to manage them, even if you also use an Alexa like I do.

‘Works just fine. I was concerned that they might be too big to allow use of one in a 2-socket receptacle without blocking use of the other socket . . . . but, it was not too big and just worked perfectly for my purposes. My use might be a little different than some . . . . I wanted this for my hot tub. It is wired to run on 120v and sometimes the thermostat fails to re-start the heater. We have a second home and I have a temperature sensor that alerts me when the spa is cooling down beyond a certain set temperature. When this happens, if I am home, all I have to do is to turn the spa off and back on and that usually causes it to resume heating – – – ‘LOVE my spa and don’t want to return home to is being cold. Anyway, with this, if I’m away and get a low temperature alert, I can remotely turn the spa off and then turn it back on . . . that, as noted above, will generally re-start the heating cycle. I will buy more of these as needs arise. I was also concerned that the start-up draw from my spa might be more than this smart plug could handle. But, so far, no problem with that either! ‘Happy!UPDATE: Well, it worked for awhile. However, it turns-out my original concern was valid. The amperage draw on the spa exceeds the 15 amp rating of this device and it has failed – – – ‘my fault, not Globe’s! Now I will see if I might be able to find a suitable unit that will control up to ~25amps . . . . My other unit, that only controls a couple of outside lights is still working just fine. Don

Works with my wifi network. Just plug in, set up app, plug in item and done for on off operations.

As long as the power stays on you’re good.
All in all I like the product. However, if your place is prone to black outs then go with something that has a built in battery back up. Losing power screws the whole thing up and sometimes it’s a pain to fix. Bluetooth will occasionally not work.

Works with Apple Shortcuts!
I’m using these for my string lights. The plug has lasted me about two years now. It’s fast and it works with Apple Shortcuts, which is super convenient. Maybe slightly more expensive than I initially wanted to spend, but worth it in the long run.

Works Great With 2ghz wifi
We wanted to hang string lights up outside but only had an outlet not a light switch. This device was the perfect solution. And it works seamlessly with our Alexa. So great to be able to be inside and turn them off vocally without having to go back out and hitting a switch. The only thing you need to know is the if you have dual wifi router (5ghz & 2ghz) you will have to have two networks and link this device to the 2ghz network. It wouldn’t connect to the 5ghz one.

Bought two of these to turn my air conditioner “smart”. They originally came with a remote that was hard to find its sweet spot so connecting it to a smart plug was a really handy solution. For reference, my ACs are rated as 15 A, 60 Hz, and 1800 W – no issues with the plugs which are rated at very close values.
