C wire connection needed
I bought a used Nest thermostat. It works perfectly. It is not too difficult to set up but you do need a C wire connection on your system or a additional 24v ac transformer. Got a great deal on the price.

Outstanding Customer Service Makes Setup a Breeze
After carefully reviewing the installation instructions and following each step, I was able to get my thermostat running smoothly. I did need to re-strip a couple of wires and repeat the process on the base plate, but after these adjustments, programming was simple and everything worked as expected. What really stood out was the outstanding customer service—when I was confused during installation, they walked me through it step by step. That’s why I’m giving this product 5 stars!

A Mind of Its Own
Unless you have integrated the Nest thermostat with your smartphone, this thermostat will continually revert to Eco mode because it will think that you are never home.Eco mode, which sets the A/C at a very high temperature, it cannot be disabled and the A/C will never turn on. Same goes for the heater.

Hook up was easier than I thought, as I did it on my own. I’ve read the posts of troubleshooting, and just follow what the app says, it won’t be a problem. It’s beautiful, more of a rose gold than sand color, and has a mirror finish which is also a bonus. Hope this lasts longer than the warranty!

I just want yall to know google nest walks you straight through everything I have the awesome front doorbell battery powered and this beautiful thermostat and I am happy with set up on both its a little changing but literally the troubleshoot will help you. Keep retrying it’ll eventually workout!🤣😅. I’m hoping we have a good experience and good life out of this!

I have set up several new wifi home thermostats before. This was by far the easiest! It’s great.

economical but possibly problematic
cheaper alternative to the slightly more substantial classic nest thermostat.however I’ve had problems with a constantly discharging the batteries even though it has a solid power wire going to it.It’s still functions fine off of the power wire but I’m continuously getting warning messages about depleted battery.perhaps mine is bad and I need to replace it but I’ve never had such problems with the more expensive classic nest.
