printing is nice and clean
Print quality is great. Laser is the way to go if you need volume, it will easily save you money over inkjet. Only pain in the butt is the subscription toner service. It works fine and cartridges are sent on time but if I do run out and have to grab a toner from the store the printer gives warning after warning that I’m using a store bought toner and it will not monitor it correctly even though it’s still an HP toner.

HP Sells you Data to Facebook and Google
This printer would be a five star if I didn’t have to hand over my private data to HP. I thought it was incredibly strange that I HAD to install an app on my phone to set up the printer, then the app wanted to know my location information, then I had to give the app my wifi password (honestly feels like a phishing attack already, because this gives HP free range over your entire home network, but it gets worse). Then after it connects and sets up my printer, the app continues to another screen where it asks me to agree to their terms of service and you know what these terms are? They want your permission to sell your PRINTING DATA to Google and Facebook! Why would they even need that information??? Every single page you print on this printer is being recorded and sold to Facebook and Google. So I immediately exited the app and removed it from my phone. Since I would be fine printing from USB, I figured I’d try blocking the printer from the internet and printing through a cable. I then proceeded to set up a MAC address filter on my router to block all internet traffic to and from the printer. My plan of keeping my private data private worked perfectly for about a dozen pages before the printer locked up. It would print a debug page that gave the error “This printer requires the use of an HP account, enabled web services, and internet connection for setup and use.”Obviously this is just them preventing you from using the printer unless they can collect your data because it just printed a dozen pages without an issue and they were excellent quality. Why does EVERYTHING have to spy on us these days? I just want a printer that does nothing but print! I don’t even care if its USB only and not wireless. I’ll never buy anything from HP again.

Don’t buy this
This printer worked fine for about a month. As soon as the cartridge it came with ran low it refused to print. Understandable. So like anyone would do I installed a new one which they shipped to me for free. Sounds wonderful right?Wrong. I have not been able to get this thing to recognize that it has a brand new full cartridge as it keeps saying it’s low. I reset it, reset the wifi, and tried every single possible solution you could think of which took me about 4 hours.Thankfully, the people of Youtube and Reddit were kind enough to elaborate on how TERRIBLE HP printers are in generally. I literally couldn’t find a single positive comment on these printers and I completely understand why.Don’t even bother trying to contact support they’re just as clueless as you the buyer. If you’d like to waste some money then this is the printer for you. Definitely returning this as soon as I can. Again don’t waste your time on this. I’m really in awe of the great reviews on here because my God, I have never not been able to troubleshoot and solve a technological device such as this.

nice little printer and fast
I got this at a discount and it’s good for the price. Don’t expect anything fancy but it gets the job done. Print fast and the quality is fine for what I use for. Had trouble setting it up with Wifi — just wouldn’t work. Finally just peeled off the sticker covering the USB port and connected to my PC via an USB printer cable (didn’t come with it but it’s only $8 on Amazon) and voila! it worked like a charm, no set up whatsoever (PC recognized it immediately). Why did HP want you to go through hoops to set it up via Wifi, I don’t understand. It’s a simple step. And a small printer that fits almost anywhere. It’s perfect for my small office desk. So far so good. Best of all it’s inexpensive and gets the job done.

Awesome little printer
I print very little and that means I face issues when I try to print suddenly after weeks.I recently had the Brother printer that does scanning, printing and everything else. When not using it or keeping it unplugged regularly the inks go bad so I found out about this laser printer and since it uses “dry” ink I don’t have to worry about the ink getting bad even if i don’t use it often.I don’t need color printing and use scan apps on my phone when needed…honestly how many home users actually prints color? so this is ok for me.I love the fact that how small it is compared to the traditional brother printer I have.Only drawback is the paper tray which does take up space and I would prefer not to have the paper collecting dust since they will not be in an enclosed tray. Since I don’t use the printer often i just put the tray back up and not have the paper on it. This avoid having to print on dusty paper that has been seating on the tray for long time and save the space.Overall, I’m very happy with overall setup and FAST and CRISP printing AND I no longer have to worry about liquid ink going bad!PRO : SMALL SIZE. FAST CRSIP LASER PRINT, EASY WIRELESS PRINT, INK WILL BE GOOD EVEN IF USED OCCASIONALYCON: No color print, No Scan, Paper Tray design

Easy as pie to use/set-up
Im of a certain age to where technology is not easy for me to figure out..I usually have to get someone to set things up for me. I needed a printer for light printing jobs and bought this. It arrived and I could hear my mother talking to my father in my head “read the instructions” ( he thought he could always figure things out on his own..usually couldnt”), so I read them. Anyway..I did it all on my own. .its an easy step by step with drawings to show how to set it up….and just when i thought..”.how do i…???” it would answer it in the next step. I set it up on my iphone as well as my computer in about 10 easy minutes. It prints well also.Like I said..I need this for light printing things, and its the perfect size to easily store. Highly recommended by a technology impaired person.

1. Te dice que te garantizan el tóner durante 6 meses y en México no aplica.2. No hay tóner original disponible en HP3. No acepta cartuchos genéricosNo la compres, muy mala inversión, tuve que comprar una Epson y eso que casi no la utilizo.

Bought this printer and really liked it at first impression, small and simple… however, when trying to purchase the ink cartridge, I wasn’t able to find it in Mexico… I found somewhere about compatibility with some other (150A) however it is not the case… ended up without being able to replace it and now I am stuck with a printer that doesn’t print and a new cartridge ready to throw away… double investment directly to the garbage

Where do I start? The thing forces you to sign up for an HP account so that it can keep track of the authenticity of its cartridges, however, once you sign up for this the USB port is disabled altogether, no matter if the WiFi is turned on or off. Huge waste of time (and money) trying to get this set up. I will never buy an HP product, printer or otherwise, again
