Easy to set up
I’ve had these sensors set up for about a month now. They are working great. I have one in the main room, one in my aquarium stand and one outside. As far as I can tell they’ve always been accurate.You don’t need the gateway to make the remote sensors work. Setup is super simple. All you have to do is put batteries in and the base station will automagically pick up the sensor and start displaying the temperature/humidity. Same with the wifi gateway. You power the new sensor on and within a minute or so it will show up in the inkbird app where you can name it anything you like.Setup of the app was actually pretty smooth unlike some other “smart” devices I’ve had in the past. It saw the gateway right away and connected to wifi after entering the password. You can set up hi/low temperature alarms, schedules and integrate with other smart devices to trigger events based on temperature. Pretty slick.I only have a couple of “I wish” points. One is that the app doesn’t see the base station so if you want to see your inside temperature you will need another sensor. Another is that the sensors are only IPX4 rated. Meaning that they should be shielded from rain and direct moisture. There are no seals on the battery doors so putting them under an overhang of some sort is a must.Neither of these are deal breakers for me as I can find other places to put them and still be accurate.Overall I’m super happy and would buy again if I needed more sensors.

Works great and easy to use
Great product!To get started, just download the Inkbird app and follow the instructions. Setting up the WiFi hub is super easy – plug it in and it finds local networks, asks you which one to use and the password. That’s it! Then, install batteries in one of the temperature/humidity sensors, wait for it to appear in the app, change the name if you want to, then go on to the next one, install batteries, wait for it to show up, etc.The indoor monitor can be set to Channel 1, 2, or 3, or “Channel 8.” Channels 1, 2, and 3 show the temperature/humidity from the appropriate sensor; the “8” in Channel “8” can be thought of as meaning “infinite loop,” because it loops through the three sensors, showing each one for a few seconds.I left all four sensors (the three outside units and the indoor display module, which also shows the indoor temperature/humidity) side-by-side on a table for several hours. They differed by less than a degree and you can use the app to add an offset to the reported temperature from each sensor. I added or subtracted a fraction of a degree to a couple of the sensors until the all agreed exactly. They have been working great ever since!Now I can keep track of the temperature inside and outside of the house from anywhere! I tried it using cellular data (LTE) and it showed me all three sensors almost instantaneously. Highly recommended!

Would not buy
Inkbird products have worked really well in the past. This device is laggy, bounces in and out of service, not user friendly, and has no versatility.

Probes not included!
CAUTION these do not come with the plug in external probes. I own 14 inkbird sensors and they ALL came with the probes.They never advertise them on the cover page pic. They are buried in the pictures as you scroll them, but they’re always included. But, I did not catch that there was no pic of the probes anywhere in this kit. Now by the time I order 3 probes this kit will actually be higher than if I’d bought the devices separately. Oh well, that cost them a star- prob should’ve been a 2 star deduction if not for their high quality and past fooled experiences.Other than that, I really like the system. Accurate, reasonably fast to adjust to changes. The updates can be a little wonky – sometimes u have to force an update, so that leads you to never trust whether the spaces devices have updated so I just force it every time now.I do wish they come up with a master Home Screen that could visually show several sensors at once without scrolling thru them one at a time, but overall about they’re the best system for HVAC diagnosis without running ur legs off checking each sensor manually with every adjustment you make or changes you observe.Get the probes on tight and insulate around them well- they’ll be accurate.While not in use for HVAC, I monitor my freezers with the alarms set.This will be my first time using the WiFi gateway- all previous devices were standalone TH1 and/or ITH-20r Bluetooth systems. Hi hopes for the WiFi gateway once I charge it up!Note- no batteries included- you’ll need 6 AAA

Not perfect, but solid value, and easy to set up
Currently using 2 of 3 sensors. One is in my well house (stud and siding construction), about 60 feet from the base station, and the other is in my shop (a metal building) about 75 feet from the base station. The one in the well house works just fine. The one in the shop I had to move by the door closest to the the house and base station. The metal building combined with the distance was just too much for the wifi signal to overcome if I located the sensor in the middle of the building. Now getting reliable signals from both sensors. Also get temperature and humidity alarms on your phone, which is helpful. My primary use is to know if the well house is getting below freezing so I can turn on the heater.

Tech Support when things go wrong
These worked well in the beginning, but recently I had to change the batteries and I can’t get one of the sensors to reconnect. I’ve asked for Tech Support twice with no response. The Tech Support appears to be in China only therefore they’re difficult to reach.Update: I finally heard from tech support and was able to get the device reconnected.

Working well so far
I bought these wifi thermometers to take temperatures at a mountain cabin so I could determine remotely whether my ice dam heat tape should be on or off. The setup was fairly easy, and I can get regular readouts on my iPhone at my home in Southern California. After a power outage, the unit reset itself – a good feature. I don’t know about its accuracy, as I haven’t had a chance to check it against an analog thermometer. As long as it’s within a couple of degrees, I’m happy.
