[Just one app to control your matter devices] With Matter inclusion, you don’t have to download and register multiple manufacturers’ apps whenever you buy a new device. This Matter smart plug device is directly compatible with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and those above need a hub. But if you don’t have a hub, downloading the app and including it by Smart Life or Minoston (update app required) works
[Simple to Setup] Just turn on Bluetooth and scan the QR code to complete the setup! Matter networking requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and a smartphone running iOS 16.1 or higher or Android 8.1 or higher. TIP: The hub and apps needs to be updated to the lastest version for Matter compatibility
[Safety Lock] You can turn on the child lock in the APP to change the operation mode of the manual switch of the smart plug to prevent children from accidentally touching or strangers from deliberately manipulating your device. This can protect the safety of your family
[Control from Anywhere] Use the app, the hub or use the voice command to control this matter wifi smart plug. Whether you are out or at home, as long as the smart home device is connected to your home wifi, you can control the device anytime and anywhere
[Timers and Schedules] Countdown and schedule settings are available for this matter smart plug to automate common home appliances. Support countdown and schedule. This way, you don’t need to manually operate the device at a specific time
[Small but Powerful] 2 smart plugs can be plugged into the same outlet, saving space in the socket and leaving room for other plugs. However, these plugs have a power of up to 15A 1875W for General use, 10A for Tungsten, 1/2 HP
[LAN Local Control] Smart outlet can communicate with each other locally, which not only reduces transmission delays, has high security and fast response, but also ensures that the device can continue to work even if the Internet connection of the cloud service is interrupted
[Important Tip] Please check the hub and app version, view the video in the product detail page for faster including the device. And read the user manual if you don’t know how to add it

Get these!
Not quite perfect, but they work great! These integrated to my smart home so easily. They’re the second Matter devices I’ve bought and I’m sold. Going forward from now on everything I add is going to be Matter/Thread.I only have two critiques of these plugs:- The word “Matter” is permanently on the front. It’s not a sticker. It’s not painted on or in any other way removable. Completely smooth. Imbedded in the plastic. I don’t understand why they would do that. It’s not the worst design decision I’ve seen, I just don’t understand why they would choose to do that on the front.- The LED light. It boggles me why electronic designers feel the need to add unnecessary LEDs that stay lit whenever the item is either plugged in or turned on. I knew these had an LED on the side, but figured at least it’s blue and very small. I can also report that it’s not exclusively bright.- ITS STRAIGHT. That was a big selling point for me. I like things with clean straight lines and edges. I would never buy the circle ones. There are some ones similar in design to these that have a ‘bulging’ curve on the top & bottom. If I went to pug something else in and that tiny amount of curve was the one thing getting in the way of fitting both items into an outlet, I could totally see myself getting frustrated at the situation and some unknown person for deciding to making it that way. With that positive attribute said, I find it odd they haven’t managed to fit two outlets into this size yet (the double ones available are quite wide). The reverse is also true in that there are plenty of the circle ones that are pretty small, so why are there no square ones yet? What I would love to see: This design with the outlet ON THE BOTTOM.Another great option would be to have the outlet on the side opposite the button (with a completely smooth flat front). If the designers do that, they should also make one reversed (left side – outlet, right side – button) and sell the two bundled together. Or just make the prongs rotatable, but then they better remove the word ‘Matter’ or it’ll end up upside down.Main factor here: These function flawlessly. Instant response time, reliable scheduling and they’re silent – unlike my old iHome ones that make a loud click every time they turn on/off and must be deleted then re-paired when removed from a power source. These are the ones!

Easy setup, works with existing home (no new apps to install)
This is the user experience I have been dreaming of since I first read about Matter (and before). Take it out of the box, scan QR code and it’s instantly paired with my local home controller (Home-assistant.io in my case). No additional apps or hubs. They nailed it, well done @Minoston!

Use QR scan set up for these modules.
I had purchased treat life pug modules and could not get them to connect to my home wifi. I have treat life wall switches so i followed those set up instructions and no luck, they would not connect so i returned them. I purchased the matter brand pug-in modules. Followed instructions on their instruction sheet which said to connect to wifi 2.4 ghz and go to smart life app and add a device. Still had no luck. finally I used the scan QR code process and bam! they finally connected. So save your self the aggravation and when adding a plug module got straight to QR code set up.

Best Matter smart plug out there! Took only minutes to pair out of the box.
I run a complex Home Assistant ecosystem with 100s of devices paired to my smart home server. I was amazed on how quick I can pair the Minoston matter smart plug right out of the box. I simply just used my home assistant app, scanned the QR code and it connected in minutes! Both of them! It runs locally on my network and the latency is instantaneous compared to my other smart plugs. I’m going to pick up more of these to replace the ones that goes over the internet. Be sure your ecosystem supports matter.

Slow response and failure to connect
Can be fussy to connect and will not stay connected reliably to my WIFI. Tried using Homekit and one other app with the same result. When they do connect they can become really slow to change state (up to 30 seconds) and often don’t show the correct actual state of the device or I see the “no response” message.I have 2 Roku smart plugs that work perfectly through Roku app on the same network without significant delays. The only issue with these is once in a great while they disconnect and will not reconnect without unplugging/replugging them in.

Great for most smart homes!
This works great with my echos and smart life app. Easy to get connected and voice controlled. Solid build as well.

I guess the Alexa integration doesn’t really “matter”
I had a difficult time getting these plugs to connect to Alexa/wifi and was just about to round-file them. But reading the other reviews, I decided to give it another shot. Turning off all 5ghz signals did the trick. So these are now wifi controlled, but I have plenty of wifi plugs that depend on a working internet connection to function. What I want is actual Matter IoT devices that can be controlled 100% locally. AFAICT these are wifi and that’s it. I have no idea how the Matter control works despite the manufacturer’s claim that Alexa and Echos will enable the Matter functionality. I guess we aren’t quite there yet. If I can somehow enable the “Matter” part of the puzzle, I will update this review accordingly.
