Works Great, at a Great Price
Works exactly as intended. Replaced a 2TB drive in my gaming PC with this to allow me to download and store more of my Steam game library. Would buy again.

Bought 5 of them for a project. All spun up and have been working great so far. Pretty good value compared to paying over twice as much for new ones. They all came with a 5 year warranty card in the box already registered.I’ll try to update if any fail in the next few years. So far I’m very happy.

Got this as a back up drive has been working flawlessly since it’s very quite for a spinning platter HD as they all make some level of noise this one is fairly audible in a case it reminds me of a slight fan speed increase in the sound level when it spins up to max RPM. I have a pair in a Mac Pro and they are the only noise it really makes and as they are just back up drives they kick on maybe a couple times a day at most. Consume almost no power and work with everything compatability wise. Would highly recommend for any Old-school spinning disk drive applications you have.

Solid unit and performance, one caveat
We received these “factory refurbished” units, however, a quick check revealed 31k hours use time, so these could not have been factory recertified/renewed, as they would have shown 0 hours. The other item to note is that I was a bit surprised by the age of the drive we received, they were branded 2017, so 7 years old was slightly more than I expected. All in all, performance in a ZFS-Z2 has been satisfactory and several months in no failures.

Great storage for a great price for home server!
Bought a pair of these to install in my 4-bay enclosure, drives packaged great, no defects on outside of drive. Installed in enclosure, and they initialized with no bad sectors. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for affordable home storage!

Basically new drives for a fraction of the price
SMART info said the 3 drives I got had 0 hours on them. Not sure what the deal is if the values were wiped or what, but I basically got 3 brand new drives for way cheaper than retail pricing. All worked OOTB, no DoAs. All speeds and such as promised. No weird sounds or anything. TBH, I’d be hesitant to ever buy brand new drives again as long as options like this exist.

Ho deciso di acquistare 2 di questi HDD Seagate da 10 TB (modello ST10000NM0016). I drive sono ricondizionati ma la qualità pare ottima e le prestazioni eccellenti. Cercavo unità capienti e rapide da usare come dischi di rete. Usandoli in RAID 1 (ridondanza) minimizzo il rischio in caso di rottura.Condizioni – I dischi “Ricondizionati certificati” mostravano entrambi zero ore di utilizzo nei dati SMART. Sicuramente il counter è stato resettato in fase di rigenerazione, dunque, non posso essere certo di quanto abbiano lavorato in precedenza, ma fisicamente si presentavano in buone condizioni.Prestazioni – 7200 RPM e ampia cache da 256 MB. Ottimo. I dischi sono performanti e sfruttano l’intera banda di rete a disposizione. Ho formattato le unita utilizzando il filesystem BTRFS con snapshot periodici e compressione ZSTD (che li rallenta leggermente ma aumenta la capacità di storage). Dopo alcune settimane di utilizzo effettivo, confermo la qualità. Sono un po’ rumorosi e hanno bisogno di raffreddamento (una ventola da 120mm per un paio va bene) per tenerli al fresco (sotto i 40 gradi) e garantire una più lunga durata.Ricondizionato sicuro? – Essendo dischi ricondizionati, non mi fiderei a usarli senza ridondanza (RAID 1 nel mio caso) soprattutto se non potete permettervi perdite irrecuperabili di dati. Ma, con le dovute precauzioni, i vostri file saranno al sicuro. Il rapporto capienza/prezzo, unito alle prestazioni Enterprise (sono progettati per lavorare 24/7) è esattamente quello che cercavo. In caso di rotture o problemi, aggiornerò la recensione.Conclusioni – Per uso NAS o piccolo server casalingo, sembrano eccellenti. La velocità è più che adeguata e si comportano bene nei miei casi d’uso: backup periodici, download/upload di dati, condivisione casalinga di documenti e file, ma anche streaming musicale e flussi audio/video via Plex/Jellyfin.
