4 wires: W/W1 ,Y/Y1 ,G,and R(or Rc or Rh). Or 3 wires: Y/Y1 ,G,and R(or Rc or Rh)
If you do not have these wires, your system may not be compatible with.

This thermostat was very easy to install and connect. Very user friendly. I think it is a great value for the price. It was also easy to connect on my home apps.

Awesome Buy -Works Great!
Works great and easy to install. The app is easy to use -the app has lots of extra features that I won’t use, but the part that I do use is user-friendly. I appreciate that this is the same quality as Nest or Ecobee but cost much less without losing any functionality. Great buy and its already made life easier!

Can’t recommend because everything is through Q-Codes and they don’t all work.
I can’t even remember the last time I gave only one star, and I’ve done hundreds of reviews. I was so disappointed because it genuinely looks really nice and seems good quality. But the instructions are terrible. All you get are Q-Codes for the app that requires you to open an account, a Q-Code to the installation instructions, and a Q-Code to connect the app to the device. Unfortunately, that last Q-Code returned a page saying “package not found” and the customer service line requires me to open a WhatsApp account. Worse yet, that means if the Q-Code had worked, then a year down the line when I had to reconnect it for whatever reason, I would be dependent on all these Q-Codes and the hope that they still worked. I had to return mine because I couldn’t connect the app without the Q-Code.

**IF YOU HAVE A 4 WIRE SYSTEM with no C-Wire coming up to your thermostat….PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to the instructions and it’s VERY easy to do.This system comes with a converter that basically re-purposes 2 of your existing wires to make a C-wire. The Y wire and the G wire go to the S and C positions if memory serves me (again….read the instructions).If you have a W, Y, G and R port on your HVAC control panel then this will work.Thermostat is great and does everything I need it to do. The wires you have are the key to compatibility and most houses have them unless it’s a VERY old system.

Fantastic product
