Not well designed to be easily used with Apple Home.
Terrible. Zero success pairing with HomeKit via Matter.Tried everything: limiting to 2.4GHz spectrum, disconnecting all the mesh satellites, reestablishing the AppleTV as hub, using a different router with same SSID/credentials +Apple TV, moving outlet right next to router…. nothing worked. I was only able to pair it to the app using an Android phone but was still unable to add it to Apple Home using the device-generated Matter pairing code. It did pair with Matter right away over the Google Home app but my home devices are on Apple Home, and I’m not going to manage two different interaction assistants, and frankly, Google’s is a pretty bad user experience.There is no helpfulI hate how much time I wasted on this. I wanted it to work because it is a robustly designed product and Square D is a reputable brand but I have no interest in this product or any of Square D’s other “smart” any more. The other one I bought was a Leviton and it paired to everything right away—hopefully they’ll have an energy monitoring version at some point.

Doesn’t need app. Matter based
Doesn’t require app, which is how all IOT Matter devices should be. Has been working, turning things on and off for over a year now, no disconnects or issues. Its nice how only one of the receptacles is controlled remotely, the other is always on.

The customer service is incompetent, albeit I got through to a human very quickly I also had to be transferred several times before I could speak to someone who even “knew” about the product. There is software error in the app or firmware error in the product that will not allow to connect to WiFi in the U.S.(or maybe at all) , they are telling me it’s because I have mesh WiFi. I even tried utilizing a 2.4ghz network device alone like they told me to, but it still would not connect to the app. They told me it was a hardware issue and couldn’t be fixed or connect to WiFi, yet my Apple home and Alexa both tried to automatically connect(mind you I don’t have a hub this was just on my phone from the app) So I can use Alexa or Apple to turn the outlet on or off, but I cannot monitor the energy usage which is the primary purpose of these devices.

TOTAL HOT GARBAGE – AVOID AT ALL COST
Hot garbage. I am an electrical engineer and have installed HUNDREDS of wifi outlets, switches etc. This device is an unmitigated POS. Connecting it to wifi is a near impossibility and it won’t stay connected. I tried multiple ways and they all failed. And to boot, in order to get it working with Alexa it has to be in proximity to an echo device. I hated this POS so much I destroyed it with a sledge hammer rather than return it for a refund.

Easy install, integration with home assistant a breeze

Bad product!
Time table is off a lot, the app can’t recognize its own product. Can’t adjust time in the app, readings stop at 18:00pm and starts at midnight. There is no way to extract information in any other way but the preset. Bad product look for alternatives. Big brand name straight into the garbage bin, very likely discounted batch so can get rid of without total loss.

Limited to Matter 1.0
I bought this for the energy monitoring with Home Assistant but unfortunately these are only Matter 1.0 which doesn’t support energy monitoring in third party apps. This is a real disappointment because the paring process was flawless and it is very quick to respond to commands.

Terrible product, doesn’t pair at all. Tried factory resetting several times, resetting my entire homekit, separated Wifi network (2.4 & 5Ghz), nothing…
