Perfect for Solar power out put measurement!
Ok, plenty of these power meters out there, they say they do this or that and they connect in some pretty crazy ways. All things considered as compared to all the other options out there; this is the best available power consumption meter at any price. …AND SIMPLE, JUST PLUG IT IN!I back feed My power grid with solar power, through this Meter I can tell how much POWER (Wattage) is going to the Grid and of course I can double check this by looking at My Public Utility Power meter.I also record the days events with an ip camera and this way I can see what is going on currently, Daily, Hourly, by the minute. I have no reason to believe this Unit is not accurate.THE TRUTH:Power measurements taken in different ways, dead short, to Battery… People say their Solar panels out put this or that, some say they get 100% of the rating (IMHO No way). For an actual usable power measurement, I firmly believe, the truth is what this Power meter says it is, which is about 75% max on the best day of the rating as described on the panel for mono panels and 1/2 of that for Polys (about half).My Utility charges .104?? per KWH but, the Unit only sets to #.## and the back light never did or doesn’t work. Deduct one for a four star rating.

Really only works on a few appliances
There is much better & new technology. If you want to check your use, you have to put it on a plug that is easy to reach, which is few in a house. The major energy pulls, TV, Stereo’s, etc., are plugged in low & behind furniture. to read the LCD you have to be a contortionist. Few plugs in the kitchen work and that is it.
