The Tapo security camera
delivers excellent image quality for its price, with sharp 2K/QHD resolution and reliable night vision. Setup is quick through the Tapo app, and the motion detection works accurately without too many false alerts. The pan/tilt models offer great coverage, and overall build quality feels solid. A great value option for home security.”

Goodbye Wyze, hello Tapo!
I’ll be writing this on all the Tapo cameras I’ve recently purchased. (4x C110, 2x C210, 2x C520WS)These are flawless, amazing, and so far ahead of Wyze it’s not even funny. They are massively affordable, truly need no subscription, have fantastic features in their app, can record locally to an SD card; everything you would want. Coming from Wyze (see more below), I didn’t know that cameras were supposed to act like this. I assumed, at Wyze prices, that I was getting what I paid for. But when I finally had enough constant stress and spent the money to change to Tapo… my life has been changed. Seriously, I probably added years to my life not being so stressed out all the time because my cameras never, ever worked right. These do, and I cannot say it enough times… if you’re currently using Wyze then get one of these. Use it for a week side-by-side and tell me what you think.Super light, have a few of mine mounted with ‘hard plastic velcro’ (3M Dual Lock). Setup is fast and easy, and works right away. Don’t have to do it over and over again (Wyze). Clarity is superb – 1440p quality. Night vision is phenomenal. Don’t really care about ‘color’ night vision – but my outdoor ones do have it. And one of the best parts is Tapo is part of TP-Link. What does that mean? TP-Link has been around for a very long time, and they specialize in networking equipment, LoL. So yeah, if you want a reliable camera on your network, who better to trust than a networking company.TLDR: Don’t waste your time on any other brand. Buy these. I promise you won’t regret it.About Wyze:If you’re like me and never wanted to spend thousands on home monitoring and security, then you may have stumbled upon Wyze cameras. At first, they were amazing – very affordable with no subscription necessary. And they worked. Over time, that changed drastically as they ventured into making everything else on the planet instead of focusing on their roots (cameras). They funded that stuff by changing to a subscription policy. And in their haste had multiple security breaches and problems such as other people viewing cameras that aren’t theirs. This is of course while the software and hardware has become so incredibly bad that they’re unusable. I mean, they actually do not function 92% of the time. Whether it’s freezing, not connecting, stuttering so bad that it looks like a PowerPoint presentation, app for closing, etc.

Excellent buy good price !
Excellent camera I’m impressed with the picture quality and the firmware Tapo is doing a good job however the home and away mode is a good idea however it resets all the settings to default.also from a theoretical perspective one should be able to turn off the motion setting because even at the lowest sensitivity even the leave trigger his event .night vision is excellent the 4 reset scenes for the pan is greatI can quickly pan a full 180 with these presets.I really put this cam through the paces .though the rain without any major issue only bit of haze on the lens .As the sun came out it quickly evaporatedI am impressed with the calling feature and even spoke to the Amazon delivery guy remotely s he delivered another package.Tapo’s team is doing an excellent job with the cloud software it can only get better as te S.W version upgradeI decided to go with the brand because I believe I will be supportive with updates etcAndrew ABarbados

Excellent security camera
I have installed multiple Tape cameras before. This one is just as easy to install. With the solar panel, you don’t have to worry about running wires for power. The location I installed is facing south so is perfect for the solar panel. I didn’t fully charge the camera before installing it. The battery started at around 16%. After around 2 sunny days, it was fully charged to 90%. I also like the patrol mode. With the camera installed at a corner, it pans over to three different angles to monitor the entire area. The 4K camera delivers a sharp image good enough to read the license plate when a car is parked in the driveway 30 feet away.

Great product. Super easy to install.
Easy to install and is working as advertised. I will continue to purchase additional cameras as I really like these. The 4K makes a BIG difference. The spotlight feature was better than expected. Has a lot of programmable features like image labeling, notification of certain triggers (vehicle, pet, person, etc.).Wish the camera supported PoE but this is easy to add via external device (Amazon ASIN B07L7QK5N3). The mount is something to be desired and not that easy when mounting to a single gang j-box. I purchase blank wall plates and drill holes for the camera cables. The PTZ is wide range, accept I wish it would tilt more in the upward direction. Here is a picture of this camera mounted on the eve of a 2nd story home. It will not look above the roof tops.

Excellent product for Alexa control. Super nighttime camera quality
Does a great job and tracks perfectly without subscriptions. The picture quality is stellar even at a distance. Have settled on Tapo for one of my go to sources for a variety of Alexa controlled devices.

Bought this camera to attach to my house to watch the back garden. I’m quite set in with the Google eco-system for my smart home, but this camera ended up being well worth it for a fraction of the price.Installation is easy; drilled a few holes, mounted the camera, ran a DC extension lead to a point in my house and it booted straight up.Note for this step; if you’re using an SD card, put it in before you mount the camera for easiness! The camera will give off an audible error when you turn it on, this will go when the SD card is formatted. The Tapo app is an upgraded version of the Kasa app that I’ve used for years. The app is really good for controlling the camera’s modes and settings, and it is very consistent with sending notifications from the camera. For the camera features, tracking is very smooth, identification is accurate, and setting up zones is really easy. I want to like the line-cross detection feature, but it’s prone to picking up shadows and insects, so I turned it off.The spotlight is quite useful if you’re outside late at night, but you definitely don’t need it for night vision. The camera’s sensor is unreal at night; you can make out details without any effort at all, and it doesn’t lag like some cameras do in the dark.Strongly recommend this if you want a no nonsense camera with onboard storage with a lot of cool features. Another win from TP-Link.Last note, as of writing this review, the camera preview does NOT work with Google Home, but DOES work if you view it on your TV or Nest Hub.
