Easy setup, works with alexa. Installed 4 of these. On the 2nd day I lost control of one of the outlets, ½ of the device. It was only in the app, alexa still worked fine. It came back the next day and its been good for months now.Push in wire and screw down style connectors make it a snap.I ran about 8a load for 6hrs and it gets expectedly warm.Good so far

Like the concept of doing away with the plug in sockets, but could be refined.
I’ve used the smart plug in socket devices for some time now. Rather unsightly and sometimes hard to place in certain outlets. You also have to find the right ones to fit 2 side by side.I like the idea of having a regular outlet that does the same thing. Looks nicer and I was excited that I would have 2 controllable outlets in 1. Easy install, turn the power off first and follow the wiring instructions.What I didn’t realize and don’t care for is the on/off switch on the outlet controls both sockets, it’s not independent. So the switch will turn off the cabinets lights while at the same time turn off the coffee maker. Defeats the purpose a little bit. Of course I can use the app, but it’s an inconvenience when the switch is right next to you. The control on the app should also be more independent. The attached picture indicates the Cabinet lights are on but….it’s the coffee maker socket that is actually turned on, but you wouldn’t know that by the app unless you clicked in through the switch. It’s not a deal breaker but wish the use logic was a little bit better.

Lousy app and poor or no connection to Alexa
Flaky on a good day. I bought one of these a couple of years ago, and it connected to Alexa with minimal fanfare. Since then, however, it’s fallen off the network in a most suspicious way. I got it back on by diddling resetting, uninstalling, and reinstalling, but it never connected to its own “Smart Life” (Tuya) app, even if it did start working with Alexa — which is all I really wanted. On buying a second one of these outlets, I could control it from “Smart Life” on my phone but Alexa could never find it. After a while, I gave up and bought another outlet.Pay a little extra and get a better switch. The hardware is likely passable, but the firmware and app utterly suck.
