Good so far
So far no issues with “re-manned” drives. Built 2 NAS and so far so good.

Man I was so scared, but it’s been flawless.
I was soooo scared buying this drive because it’s “renewed”, never bought one of those before. I figured at 20TB it can be too old (vs a 10TB drive could be like 5-10 years old).Anyway, it’s been 100% flawless. I’ve moved thousands and thousands of files to and from the drive, no issues. It’s not loud, doesn’t click, it’s no different then my other high capacity drives that I’ve always bought brand new.I’m in the market for another drive, and will most likely do this 20TB Renewed stuff again!

loved my drive enough room for all my files

way too many defective sectors – rejected
I think the “refurbished” drives are seconds. They look brand new with no evidence of having been mounted. On the test bench this drive had excessive bad sectors. Maybe some will not notice this without test equipment.

Ordered 3 drives. 1 DOA.
Ordered 3 drives. 1 DOA. RMA’d 1 and was sent the same DOA disk I mailed in. The DOA disk makes abnormal sounds. You know right away this disk has mechanical problems. The DOA disk cannot and will not appear in Windows Disk Manager or AOMEI or in Hard Disk Sentinel. The other 2 20TB disks have been working fine. But what good is a 5 year warranty if I am sent a replacement disk that is also DOA and cannot be used….
