The Tapo Contact Sensor T110 enhances home security by providing real-time notifications when doors or windows are unexpectedly opened, allowing immediate action. It offers versatile functionality, as it can trigger other Tapo smart devices, like lights or cameras, through programmable Smart Actions. To operate, the T110 requires the Tapo Hub H100, which connects up to 64 sensors via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, ensuring extended battery life and wider coverage. The hub also includes a 90dB ringer with 19 tones and supports Smart Actions even without network access, ensuring a responsive and reliable system. *Note: This device operates exclusively within the specified Sub-1G band. Please note that different regions support different frequency bands. Ensure that the devices or hubs you intend to use are compatible with the same Sub-1G band.
REQUIRES Tapo Hub-To utilize Tapo contact sensor T110, a Tapo hub H100 (sold separately) and a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network connection are required. Tapo T110 communicates with the hub via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, which provides extended battery life for the sensor and a wider coverage area compared to Wi-Fi. The Tapo Hub H100 can connect up to 64 sensors simultaneously and includes a 90dB ringer with 19 different ringing tones. The Tapo Hub also enables the use ofSmart Action for sensors and other Tapo devices even when the network is disconnected and is highly responsive.
Go Beyond Just Doors and Windows- The device provides real-time monitoring of windows, doors, cabinets, fridges, mailboxes, and other items that can be opened or closed.

Works flawlessly with Alexa routines
Super easy to set up and extremely reliable. The sensors respond instantly, and I had them tied into my Alexa routines within minutes. They trigger lights, announcements, and automations with zero delay. The size is compact, the adhesive is strong, and the battery life has been great so far. If you want affordable door sensors that work smoothly with a smart home setup, these are perfect.

Great for Garage Doors!
I got these to use in place of a reed switch for my garage doors. I was having trouble finding decently rated reed switches on amazon, reports of melting and incorrectly operating switches glore. Yikes! These work great for this application, and in retrospect, not having to run a wire to a reed switch resulted in a much easier overall installation. Just watch your sensor placement to avoid your doors track. I paired these with some Shelly 1 minis to operate the garage door opener. If you don’t want to mess with electrical wiring to the Shelly, get the Shelly 1 plus version, and you can wire it to a standard 12v DC power cord, and use an normal outlet instead. You’ll have to replace the batteries in these sensors every few years, but that’s easy and cheap enough to do once in a while. They seem durable, I dropped one from 7 feet up onto concrete, and it still works just fine.I set these up in the Tapo app, and then added them to Home Assistant. The tp-link integration works great with the hub and t110 sensors, and they can be used locally without requiring the Tapo app. The sensors sensors seem much more responsive via Home Assistant vs the Tapo app.The only downside is the price, the t110 sensors sell for $20 a piece, but given the quality of reed switches on amazon, I’d rather spend a bit more, and not risk a fire. I purchased another set to install on my entry doors, and will probably put some on my fridge doors eventually as well. If they were cheaper, I’d put them on all my windows too…

Excellent, Reliable Door Sensor!
I recently installed the TP-Link Tapo Door Sensor, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup! The installation was incredibly easy, taking just a few minutes to attach it to my doorframe. The sensor is compact, discreet, and works flawlessly with the Tapo app, providing instant notifications every time the door opens or closes. One of the standout features is the real-time alerts, which give me peace of mind whether I’m at home or away. The app is super user-friendly, and I love that it integrates seamlessly with other Tapo devices in my home. It’s also very energy-efficient, and the battery life seems great so far.For anyone looking for an affordable and reliable smart door sensor, the TP-Link Tapo is a perfect choice. It’s given me that extra layer of security I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier with the performance! Highly recommended!

Works as intended but needs a better ring
Easy to install. The included adhesives hold steady and so far the battery life has worked. Note that you do need a Tapo hub (H100,H200, or H500) to make this work and pair it with the Tapo app. The setup process guides you through each step. You have the option of customizing this with triggers such as sounding a bell or playing a custom sound from one of your Tapo cameras. This alone is where I believe the product falls short. For having the hub play a sound when a door or window is open/the sensor is activated, you are stuck with choosing a predefined set of doorbell sounds. There is no custom sound option, only to shorten the sounds already had. The workaround to this is if you have an indoor Tapo camera. Then you can make a trigger to play a custom recorded sound when the sensor detects the door or window is open. All in all, great if you are in the Tapo ecosystem and do not mind these minor shortfalls. If the battery life goes close to a year, I will consider this a solid investment.

Works great even with a little misalignment on windows frame!
Works as advertised! I can set up alarms and notifications on my phone. It has good sound and handles 25m range from the wifi. Sensor are really good. My windows are not perfectly aligned with its frames so the sensor had to be placed around 8mm away in the close position and worked just find to mark the window as closed.

Tapo For The W
Switched to Tapo after the company I was using decided to just have their app go offline entirely and get removed from app store. Tapo is a way better product, is way more versatile as I can use Kasa products too utilizing the same app, and these doing everything I need them to do, and they offer an actual alarm hub which believe it or not, is harder to find than you’d think. Would love to see TP-Link put out an alarm keypad to arm and disarm my setup automation, but even without it, this system has everything i need covered, unlike all the other options ive tried previously. Im really surprised these are not talked about more and that they’re not leading the charge in DIY smart home security. Needless to say, im switching everything over…Light switches, door sensors, outlets, bulbs, etc and ALL, so far, have been a VAST improvement over the previous brand I relied on.Now, this product in particular has a decently loud alarm, although I wouldn’t say its 1 for your whole house loud, I already have 2 and will likely add 1 more to cover 1st floor, 2nd floor, and garage. Will have to update later on battery life but install was super easy, none of the adhesives have failed yet, again like my last ones did (fell off in first week), they were very simple and easy and quick to connect to app and get setup, and have not gone offline or lost connectivity yet. Best part, the pricing seems very reasonable to me, especially from Amazon.

Cliente Amazon –
I received this item from amazon.com even though it was ordered from amazon.co.uk therefore it had a US plug, not an issue for me and everything worked fineHowever after a while I wanted to add more sensors which would not bind to the US smart hub as they operate on a different frequency. I bought a second UK hub to resolve the issue. Now I have two hubs and all the sensors are working fine and two alarms which may have the benefit of confusing an intruder for additional time.

Installed on my front and rear house doors to know when they are open, or to know if they are left open at any time. Paired with my Tapo smart hub, I was able to install these in 5 minutes. It was so simple.I created an automation so that if a door sensor goes off in the night, my Tapo smart hub sounds an alarm. It’s a great theft deterrent and works every time. These are the ones. Tapo is amazing. Get it!

Bought the H100 hub (mandatory device in order for the sensor to work correctly) from the same seller. It was not compatible with this device, the sensor was US based, and the hub was EU based. Both work on different frequencies, the pairing failed.
