Enterprise DAS Capable
The Water Panther Arsenal series is ideal for direct attached storage systems and business environments. Business-centric storage devices have stricter requirements on availability, connectivity, and dependability. Water Panther Arsenal delivers ideal solutions for a multitude of mainstream DAS/JBOD systems. Disk shelf arrays can count on the Water Panther Arsenal drives for 24/7 availability even in heavy workload environments.

Expand Storage Further
Each Arsenal drive is tuned to scale beyond 8-bay systems to support high capacity RAID storage and to connect seamlessly with processing systems. WP Arsenal can handle arrays of over a hundred drives, only subject to system limits. Our team of engineers has hand-selected the optimal drives for direct attached storage systems and can offer support with setup and configuration.

Wide Compatibility Range
With the Arsenal series, you can be sure you are getting a drive that is validated to work flawlessly in major DAS systems from multiple manufacturers. Arsenal series drives provide not only a great value, but also a higher workload rating than lower-tier NAS graded drives. Build a storage array that has your back, with the Water Panther Arsenal series.

Purpose-Built for High Data-Workloads
Our team of engineers has hand-selected the optimal drives for direct attached storage systems. WP Arsenal consists of products from major manufacturers and OEMs, Water Panther offers compatible products and compatibility information, and the supply chain. Product images are for demonstration and marketing purposes only, images do not represent any individual item.

Consistent Data Transfers & Low Latency
Extends beyond burst performance of NAS drives by delivering consistent data transfers that are responsive with no hang ups.
Purpose-Built for High Data-Workloads
Optimized for heavy data workloads—up to 3x that of NAS drives. Workload rate depends on your hardware and software yet WP Arsenal won’t be the bottle neck.

Ideal for Business-Critical Applications & Environments
Compatible with mainstream enterprise disk-shelf storage systems. Every drive in the WP Arsenal series works in major enterprise software applications. More cost-effective than mission-critical 15K/10K RPM drives when capacity is at the forefront. Each drive has a minimum mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) rating of 2 million hours to ensure longevity. IT technical support is included for system setup and configuration. Every drive is backed by a 2-year, no-hassle support.

Supported Configurations
WP Arsenal drives support 512-byte sector format sizes. Drives cannot be mixed in a 4Kn array. The SAS interface is for systems with compatible disk controllers and will not work in systems that only support SATA (desktop PC, consumer NAS, etc.). All WP Arsenal drives support legacy power supplies and will not have power-disable functionality.

It’s a green enterprise SAS Seagate Exos X20
It’s a green enterprise SAS Seagate Exos X20 in new state from 2022.Probably also other similar models. It is compatible with 6Gbps LSI and 12Gbps Microsemi/Microchip SmartHBA.It has encryption PSID.It supports being low-level reformatted, interrupted, and leave it on while turning on the main machine, but you need the proper LSI-3041 (B) or similar to retry formatting. It is better than a SATA disk. You cannot use it with SAS USB enclosures like Aoduke/Feifanzhe.

Great Drive, fast shipping
Drive was a Seagate Exos x16 drive with 1 reported power cycle, appears to be new. Would buy again!

Fast for a spinning drive.
Put this for an internal backup drive. Ended up being very fast so using it for regular edit drive.

ordered new sent a renewed?
I ordered a new hard drive for $309.99 and received a renewed drive. I don’t buy renewed as a general practice. Update: I increased the rating because I decided to go with the drive as is. It is working fine in my new system. It seems I jumped the gun on the review because the first pamphlet I saw was amazon renewed which confused me. It seems the drive was new according to the packing slip, but confusing with this “rebranding” process–the hard drive when opened was a WD drive a brand I like. 4 stars so far but I subtracted 1 for the confusion.
